Background: While recovering from recent surgery, I needed to walk outside as much as possible. Of course I took my camera with me, and on a few clear, late November afternoons, this study of city shadows came to be.

The ‘Raven’ shadow is at the Edgar Allen Poe house on 7th and Spring Garden. While in Philly, Poe lived there and a mile down the street, and wrote some of his most famous poems. The basement of the house is the setting of ‘The Black Cat’. Spooky!
