~ A-muse-ment

Life’s inspiration comes from within.
Inspire = to breathe.
And breathing is a process, not an event.

Material comes from within, while the muse itself is external.
That’s necessary, since we wouldn’t perform as well
with our selves our only audience.

But the creation of the meaning of the muse
comes from within- its context internally interpreted.

Perception, not reality, evokes a response.

And so, really, there are no muses, only visions of them.
Delusions.

We are smart enough to stage a smoke and mirror trick
for the sake of our own motivation.

And dumb enough to fall for it.

The parallel between breathing and the inspiration to do art had never occurred to me. [wanders off thinking about it]
