Didn’t miss the stress

Well, back to work, and back to fun stress filled days. The 3-11 shift is usually pretty quiet, but tonight it was CRAZY. Two really sick kids in the NICU and a ton of hearing screens to do (which isn’t my job anymore by the way but people are too lazy to pick up some of the slack, which means someone has to step up… I’m just tired of being the only one stepping up ever). So, not alot has changed since I didn’t work for 5 days. Just walked back into stress. UGH. Whatever. I’m going to try not to let it get to me anymore and do what I have to do to stay ahead and not get yelled at.

I haven’t really had time to process much today. Woke up at 7:15ish and talked to Poulas as he was getting ready to leave (he looked quite the catch in his new suit) and trying not to get emotional… they left around 8. I took a shower. And to keep my mind off things I watched some episodes of Gilmore Girls. Headed to work and got there at noon and worked until 2:15. I got through 2 1/2 tapes which is awesome. I was flying through dictation today. It was awesome. I don’t have to go in tomorrow due to the office closing at 3 and me getting off at 3. So, Monday it is back to dictation. Then I worked from 3-11 and see my previous writing to see how that went.

My hands are getting pretty dry… which I guess is better than how they usually are… I’m just hoping they don’t get so dry they start cracking. That would suck.

The weather has been horribly cold lately. My car didn’t really want to start after work. It needs some work done to it but I don’t have the time right now to get it done. Neither does my dad.

Anyways, I think I am going to head to bed. I have to be to work at 7 a.m. tomorrow and I just got off at 11 p.m. Sucks to be me.

Alissa

PS A HUGE thank you to everyone who kept my family in their thoughts and prayers in the loss of my grandpa. They are appreciated. And I will try to thank each one of you individually when I get more time. But, just wanted to say thank you!!

Sometimes I wonder what life would be like without stress.
