Practically Lived At School

I spent more time at school this week then I did at home almost.

I had another dentist appointment on Monday. Except it was all upper. Man, it hurt like a fucking bitch too. The bottom jaw doesn’t hurt that bad but god damn… And I had this urge to bite my lip too. It was just sorta there. It was so numb…it’s not like I would feel it. Not at the moment anyways.

(Sidenote: Once in 1st grade, my mom picked me up from school to go to the dentist. There was a lunar eclipse that day too. It was cool. Got back to school and the whole 1st grade was in the library watching a video with fish. Like about the ocean or s/t. The right side of my lower lip was numb and I kept biting it. Next day it was all blue and looked awful. So warning to all: DON”T BITE YOUR LIPS WHEN NUMB)

Tuesday…Drumline rehearsal

Wednesday: Valentines Day Jazz Concert. It was Jazz 1, Jazz 2, winter drumline and winter guard. We had to be there by 6 but we didn’t perform until 8 or so. Why so early? I dunno. But we hung out in the gym. It was fun. Since we don’t have our uniforms yet, we had to wear jeans, a white tshirt and no shoes. And considering it was the 1st time we’ve ever played outside of practice, it wasn’t that bad.

Best of all, Koz was there! Oh god…he’s too great. When we were done, Nikki and I grabbed our sweatshirts and shoes and ran up the stairs to the empty seats that just so happened to be in front of him. There were people in front of us that we knew too so hopefully it didn’t look to stalker-ish. He also gave me and nikki his email address! No one else has it! Muahaha! It’s weird. Everyone in band knows who he is but he doesn’t really talk to any of them. But he always talks to me and Nikki. And that makes me happy!

Thursday: drumline practice. Also had a volunteer pep band game. I went down to the gym at 8:45 to see the end of the game. I gotta tell you, it was the most exciting game we’ve ever had that I’ve seen. We went into overtime against Valpo. It was neck and neck, unfortunately we lost. Oh well.

Friday: Our day off from school was spent at school from 9-5. I got there that morning about 8:45 and left at 7 that night. 10 hours at school on our day off. Crazy! Rehearsal was fun tho! No Chad or Corey but all day with Tilf… It ended at 5, and we were all supposed to help paint the tarp. But the parents already had the base coat partially painted by the time we could do anything but we had to wait for it to dry before we could paint more. We couldn’t find a big enough space to paint it all at once to we were couped up in the cafeteria. No good that did us. But No one in dl was really there to help paint and I was rather disappointed. Like A lot. I thought it’d be all of us painting, having fun…like camera worthy. But NOOO. Didn’t end up painting anything. Bah to them!

So I went down to the band office and I copied of music of a lot of songs that we played Freshman and sophomore year. I really like those songs. I enjoy playing them. God, I’m such a band fag.

Actually. I wanna make a cd with all the songs we’ve ever played (except the gay ass marches we’re forced to play at the concerts) and a cd of our show, from every season, on another cd. So Berstein, Easter Symphony, Divine Comedy and then Sweeney Todd next year. That’d be cool to have in like 20-30 yrs. I wanna listen to the Tool song that is our dl opener. “Forty-six and 2” Gonna see if I can find that anywhere…

So I pretty much spent my whole week at school. But I really do like 4 day weeks so much better.
