Halloween (Pic Heavy)

I felt like this Halloween was Ian’s first Halloween. Yes he was with us last year, and he was in a costume, but he didn’t know anything at all that was going on. This year though, he was full force. He insisted upon walking and going up to doors. I think he was super happy to hear people say how cute he was, plus he got a gift every time he knocked on a door. We just have to work on him holding his bucket by the handle, and that he actually lifts it up to people next year. I had so much joy watching him grasp what was going on, and hearing the laughter of pure joy escape his lips.

Salem was not allowed to dress up for school again this year. Some of the schools in her district do, and others don’t, the principal sets the rules per school. They were allowed to have crazy hair for school, so I really did her up. It was a battle trying to get her to pick a costume, but she decided on a witch, a cute spider witch. Do you have any idea how many different witch costumes there are? We tried on a lot. She was very darling though, and I was more than happy with the final product. She was very patient with her brother while we were out trick or treating, and was beyond kind when we got back to my FIL’s house and was handing out candy to all the kids who were coming to the door. She really likes that part.

So, I am going to dump a ton of pictures in here, starting with our trip to the pumpkin patch the weekend prior. I wish I had the time to put commentary next to all of them, but I don’t. Well maybe a few. For the most part you should be able to figure it out.

Ok so, I organized all these pictures in Photobucket so they would be in order, but it didn’t translate when I logged in. Any who, the Pumpkin Patch was a success. Salem had a lot of fun on all of the jumpers they had to play on. Ian was excited by everything but there was very little for him to do, so instead we just took a bunch of pictures of him while we showed him stuff.  He was so in love with the animals in the petting zoo, hugging the bunnies and goats, and trying to pick up the chickens. It was a good night. It was also nearly 8 o’clock and almost 80 degrees out, hence my tank top.

I’m sorry, but I really think that my kids are very cute! I took them trick or treating after Salem got out of school at one of our shopping centers to give them something to do before daddy got home from school so they weren’t so anxious to go out. I had so much fun with them.

And there is Salem and her best friend Adisynn with their crazy hair. It’s new this week, but I am going to start taking her to school in the mornings. Not sure how it is going to work when we move, but it will really help her and her family out, plus it makes the girls really happy to see each other in the morning.

And I saved this one for last because it’s pretty entertaining. I have no idea who that person is. We saw him standing there, just like that for several minutes in front of my FIL’s house. It’s creepy, but super genius. I wish I had the guts to walk around a neighborhood on Halloween and do that to people!

Sabastian has that shirt. I still have a hard time comprehending how warm it must be there. I can’t believe Ian is walking so well.

RYN. mine was actually a rhetorical question about males and females being in sync. but it explains ALOT for you. all the more reason to move. as far as me…about a year ago i spent the weekend with E at a lake house. it was the first weekend together not in a hotel room. but it was a turning point. next tuesday we might be meeting (for the final time)

Add me to the list of those who think your kids are beautiful, too. 🙂 Loved all the pics, and it was nice having something to look at here tonight. I liked the ones of you and your hubby at the slide place…very nice. He looks like he could be a rock star…you always look pretty, and I see where your daughter gets hers’ from. You guys have a great weekend, and I’ve only got four more hours to go and I can head home to get some sleep…

ryn: You definitely have to do it one year. You’ll love it! It’s so much fun. Everyone is in costume all day and there are haunted houses, a carnival down by the water and so many shops to go into. They do a “ghost tour” at night but I’ve never been able to stay that late and go. We are hoping to stay the night next year and have someone stay in the hotel room with Lilly so we can go out at night. It gets too crazy at night and wouldn’t recommend bringing kids out at that time.

funny how someone from OD gets in your head. and you really wish you could do something for them. RYN thanks for the prayers.

Is she crazy-political, or just crazy? Cause mines just crazy poitical. I love her otherwise.

RYN: I don’t consider myself a Mormon. I was never baptized into the church so they don’t consider me a member. I’m not practicing any faith at the moment. I guess after we stopped going to church, religion didn’t seem to be of any importance to my parents so I didn’t have guidance in that area. As I’ve become an adult, I just never brought it back into my life.

OH, I just love the photos. Every single one of you is absolutely beautiful! And thanks for your notes. I am feeling a lot better today. I hope you are right, and this time around he really can make me happy. I have just been burned so many times that it’s hard to trust. I am not ready to trust right now, so I am just taking things one day at a time. So far I am plodding along, getting better…
