So this is my first attempt at writing an entry on my iPhone so we’ll see how it goes.
I’m currently laying in bed in too much pain to sleep, but thankfully I’m not sporting a fever at the moment. Yesterday’s high peaked at 102.8 and lasted for several hours. I have walking pneumonia and an. Infection in both ears.
Yesterday I made an appoIntment for both kids and she gave them antibiotics as well. Scott met us there and when he saw me he knew right away tat something was wrong. Normally I would have Ben offended at him telling me I looked terrible but I knew that I did. The night before I was having sharp pains in my chest while I was coughing and that morning I was so light headed and short of breath I was seriously considering the emergency room. I no longer have insurance so that was what was stopping me but Scott insisted I go and we would figure it out.
He took the kids home and I drove to the hospital. Thankfully they have a cash clinic and it only cost me $50 to see the doctor. My blood pressure and oxygen levels were low so I has to have a breathing treatment which I had a reaction to and my whole upper body went numb and my Hands closed shut. It was super scary but he said it was normal and it went away really fast. I was shaking for 5 hours afterwards.
By the way, Ian just had the worst coughing fit he’s had the whole time he’s been sick. Scared mommy!
So they are both antibiotics as well as me, Salem and I both have inhalers and Ian was given a prescription for one just in case that we didn’t fill. I just want us all to get better ASAP. Salem will stay home for the third straight day per doctors orders. I wish Scott would be here to help during the day, but the nationally touring band is back so he has to be there.
I’m hoping I can nap today. I barely slept because of all the pain and difficulty breathing and coughing. And I sleep way later than I used to so I’m up about 3 hours early (or was). Besides the pain from inhaling and the sore body from all the convulsing, my throat feels like someone took a billow pad to it from all the coughing.
Ian is back out so I’m gonna try and do the same.
Pretty scary to think that your body’s reacting to that treatment was ‘normal’? :/ Glad you guys decided it was best to get yourself there, and I’m glad you’ve all got meds now to help knock this thing out of you! So many of us are dealing with this stuff…too many 🙁 *HUGS*…and I’m praying, too….Michael

Oh yeah…I forgot to add that I know you still looked nice even if you looked like you were hurting… 😉

wish you lived closer….i know it’s really hard to take care of sick babies, when you are sick yourself!

Oh my gosh, you poor thing….I hope you all recover really soon. You’re stunning, by the way, so I’m sure at you’re worst you’re still amazing!

RYN: I have considered San Diego and have thought about staying at the Loews Coronado Bay, but if G is working at that point, we might not be able to go away since he will have just started. But I do like the idea of going there. It is a beautiful city. Thanks for the suggestion.
