Positive Update
I feel good right now. It more than likely has a lot to do with the fact that I look good, or think that I do. I went to Forever 21 on Saturday with $20 from my husband for a new pair of jeans. I was sure they had jeans for around $10 and they did. The ones I wanted too. So his $20 got me the jeans I wanted, plus a shirt and a half. I paid for the other half, new sandals, nail polish and 2 new camis.
And yes I said sandals in the middle of October! It is still way too hot here. I am dying for warm clothes and rain. The one day we had it was amazing. Salem got to wear cute winter clothes to school, and I got to cuddle in bed with my munchkin man while Scott and Salem were busy with their days.
Anyway….. so I’m wearing a new outfit right now, my hair looks awesome after last weeks hair cut, and my makeup is done pretty because I had somewhere to go. Actually, I was pretty busy last week, but I also felt very overwhelmed. Today that is not the case. We had our first parent teacher conference with Salem’s teacher today. I really wanted the teacher to tell me she was a genius, and though she didn’t, she did say that our little girl is learning a lot very fast and is right on the mark of where she should be, almost pushing past it. She also is very well behaved in class and focuses very well. I’m very happy to hear that. I like knowing my child is well behaved for others.
We still have yet to find a new church home. We have visited a couple of churches a few times, but nothing has clicked. But we did visit a church last Sunday that feels so right, and Salem absolutely loved it. I can’t call it home yet though because Scott didn’t go with us, and obviously a few more visits to make sure would be appropriate. I love feeling the potential to get planted somewhere else.
Scott and I have completely reconnected. Funny how sometimes fights bring you closer. I believe God does that. And in the process of feeling physically good about myself and knowing that my body is getting itself back in order, I was ready to be as intimate with my husband as we could without the go ahead from the doctor. It was very pleasant. =o) Can’t wait till Halloween though when I get the green light at my follow up appointment!
Ian weighs 10.2 pounds (last week) and I was able to weigh myself too. Only 8 more pounds to go! I did my first official work out this morning and I was holding Ian for half of it, but it felt wonderful!
My Son is awesome. Seriously. I love him. He has been fussy though these last 2 weeks and nothing seems to fit as to what the problem is. Could it be possible for him to be teething already? He is drooling like crazy and constantly wants something in his mouth. Feedback?
Ok got to go. Done at the husbands job and he is literally pacing in front of me.
glad to read this positive entry. maybe the fussiness is colic?
