Fare thee Well, Croc Hunter.

I know you all have been awaiting something about death recently..  I shall nto leave you all in breathless anticipation.

Steve Irwin

His death was a tragedy for education of the creepy crawlies in the Wild Kingdom, especially for the sprats that watched most profoundly.  I liked the guy, he was over the top, loud and rather obnoxious after 1 or 2 episodes in short order but I saw the benefit of what he was doing.

I watched him in the mountains of West Virginia, my home state, as he decided that finding a Timber Rattler would be a good idea.  Being from the area, I know how nasty in temperment Timbers can be.  I was honestly suprised that he didnt get bit then.  The man had wandered and provoked a den of the suckers.  But this antic did bring up a good point, that you can not underestimate Mother Nature.

And in this documentary with stingrays he was ultimately killed by suprising one of the creatures.  I feel no pity, he knew the risks and I hope that his death can be seen as a testament that you can not go into Nature without taking  life into account.  The life of the creature and your own.

The footage, that belong with Terri, and her alone.

Forgive my spelling, I am just lazy today.
