Entry 384

I really don’t think adults are to be happy. It’s like, as soon as you hit 18, life fates you to be miserable as soon as you are happy.

When you think you are experiencing happiness, when you think you are getting things squared away, you may as well brace for the large amount of bullshit that will for sure come and not only ruin all that happiness, but make you feel completely like shit for who knows how long.

It’s like this… you may cheer to have a new car, but that car will cost likely all your savings. The car will have problems when you have no money at all or when you have been saving for something nice for yourself.

You will always have debt of some kind. Credit card. Schooling. Bank loans.

After you hit 18, you watch all the friends you made, all the people you called "friends for life", move on to other things and they become nothing more than stories of memories you tell others. Even if you do stay in contact, it’s nothing more than a brief "Like" on FB or a random comment of "haha".

As an adult, you work all the time and hope and pray you have enough for rent. You hope that maybe you can have enough money to buy actual groceries.

The people you wanna hang out with, are always too busy. Work. School. Kids. Marriage.

You will have those happy moments where there is happiness, but then all this comes back to kick you down.

Because as an adult, you are not allowed to be happy.
