Poor baby
Poor Logan has been so sick for the past week. I thought he was just teething at first because all he had was a temperature and a runny nose and his gums were swollen. Then he developed a cough. Then wheezing. I took him to the doctor on Thursday. Two hours later, after a breathing treatment, chest xray, and coming home with an inhaler and steroids, he was really miserable. He went back for a follow-up appointment on Saturday and had developed an ear infection. His lungs were sounding better by then, though. He came home with four more medicines after that…Motrin, Amoxicillian, ear drops, and a nasal decongestant. He’s been sleeping, which in itself means he has to be sick. But, he’s been sleeping almost constantly. Today he was finally up and about for a little bit longer. He’s still not walking. He will take 4-5 steps at a time now between Matt and I if he is between us, but that’s it. His birthday is next Saturday. My baby is going to be ONE! We’re going to do cake and ice cream for him Friday night because Matt has his work’s Christmas party Saturday afternoon. I’m taking Logan to get his pictures done before we go to that on Saturday morning, though.
Nothing else too exciting has been going on. I’ve just been at home taking care of Logan. The visit with the parents over Thanksgiving was ok. We didn’t do much. I had a terrible migraine that Friday that knocked me out for most of the day. I honestly thought I was going to die. Nothing that I normally do to get rid of it was working. Even after sleeping for a few hours, which is normally a great help, it was still there. I really need to go to the doctor about it and see if they can give me a prescription med to help out. I need to go see him soon anyhow because I think I’m having trouble with my hearing. I’ve been having more and more trouble hearing things lately for some reason. If there is any sort of background noise, I can barely hear things.
We’re leaving to go home to Indiana on the 20th. We’re staying until January 6th or so. Matt has to be back on the 8th. I am not looking forward to the cold weather and SNOW. Ugh. My brother is at training in Arizona right now. He’s leaving for Iraq sometime in January and February. I’m trying not to think about that. We’ve been very lucky that Matt hasn’t gone anywhere, and won’t for at least the next three years because of the duty he’s taking when we go to California. I’ve also still been trying to research everything out there and figure out what to do about housing. We’ve found a small town that is about an hour from the base where the rents are cheaper, and have talked about living there until base housing is available, but I don’t know. I can only do so much research at a time before I start to get overwhelmed, neervous, and scared. I do this everytime we move, though, so I know that once we get there and finally get settled I will adjust. It’s all this time until that happens that is the problem.
We had family pics done a few weeks ago. Here’s the little flashing animation I made of them, since I’m too lazy to go upload and host all of them one at a time right now.
I got all my Christmas cards ready to mail out today. If anyone wants one from me, leave me a private note with your address, and I’ll send you one, also. I have to go to the post office and get stamps tomorrow, and then they are on their way.
I think that’s about it. Until next time…
Awww poor Logan!

Cute pictures. I hope Logan feels better. RYN: Yes he is starting to say more..it’s not always clear but I get what he’s saying. I’m thrilled..I was honestly petrified that he’d never speak to me.
