I <3 today

*yawn*

I’m sleepy still…it’s 8am, but I woke up at 6:30.  What a long week!  I’ve worked for 7 days in a row, which is all well and good for cash, but not so much fun that’s for sure.  If they call me today I swear I’m not answering the phone.  I don’t even want to hear a manager’s voice for atleast another 24 hours.  I’m grumpy because I was busy all weekend, and now when I’ve finally got some free time Stephen’s gone on a trip for the week.  Booo.  However, I suppose it will give me the chance to do some Christmas shopping.  I have no clue what to get him, but I thought maybe it was time to fork out some cash for a good cooler.  (or “eskie” as they call them in this country, haha!!)  Every time we go camping we have to use our crappy soft sided cooler bag and it’s such crap, so I thought maybe I’d get him a good one for Christmas and we could use it for our Brisbane trip in Jan.  Perhaps not the most personal or creative gift I could come up with, but hey, it’s practical right?!  Besides, he already has everything else he wants after the trip to the U.S. and I’m getting him Halo 2 as well.

So my parents are coming to visit!!!  They got cheap tickets through a travel agent friend of theirs, and decided to take advantage of the offer.  They’ll be here on January 6th, and are staying for 3 weeks.  I can’t wait!!!  We’ve already got heaps of things planned to do, and they’re coming with us to Brisbane so it should be lots of fun.  It’ll just be good to see my Mom and Dad again… it’s nearly two years since I’ve seen them, and in that time Mom has recovered from cancer and dad has been in and out of hospital with colitus.  Now that they’re both healthy and back to normal, I think it’s great that they’re taking some time off for a vacation.  On top of that, they’re escaping the bitter cold of ‘Peg city to visit the sunshine in Sydney.  Yaya!!

Anyways, that’s all for now.. I have some reading to do.  I’ve decided on getting through some “classics” this summer, so as not to turn my brain to mush over the holidays.  Plus, the way I see it is, I’m 23 and losing time every year to read every great book on the planet..!  I should make a list and see how many I can get through by the time I’m 30.

That’s all folks.

.xox. Kristin

Oh ya, and one more thing..We got Big Day Out tickets so I’m going to see the Beastie Boys on the 26th of Jan- woohoo!!!!!
