screw mothers day
shes not getting shit from me…
My Mom and I had a huuuge fight last night about my son. she came in from work with an attitude because someone ate her weight watchers icecream then blamed it on me.
then she seen that my son was still up, it was about 10:30 and he was laying in bed with the lamp on and she blew a gasket, telling me he should be in bed by 9pm and he should be wearing *goodnights* (he has a bedwetting problem)
she then went on her rant that kids at his age shouldnt be wetting the bed and blamed me for not getting him up to go more often, then i reminded her i didnt stop wetting the bed until i was 8 y/o some kids dont stop wetting until well after that age!
so she doesnt know what the hell shes talking about.
and if you know anything about autism then you know most autistic kids have trouble sleeping and he is no exception to that rule, if she actually took the time to learn more about it she’d know this.
it just really pissed me off how she came in barking orders about how i raise my son, i ended up leaving the house for an hour to get away from her and went to my neighbors house.
she didnt exactly win the mother of the year award raising us! me, my sister and brother all have some issues connected to her. im not going to blame her entirely for my problems, but yes there are some things that couldve been handled differently when we were kids.
so i just find it laughable how she can tell me what i should and shouldnt be doing for MY son.
i cant wait to get the hell out of here this month.

((HUGS)) Hang in there girl. Your right, having an autistic child is totally different. My godson is 9 and still in pull ups full time. My daughter, who is not autistic, wet the bed every night until she was 7 y/o. Your doing a fine job & don’t let her tell you different.

I pee the bed until I was 14. I had weak bladder muscles. During the day as SOOON as I felt pee coming on, I would have to RUN to the bathroom or I wouldn’t make it. Took YEARS of keegle excercises to strengthen the muscles properly.

awe, i’m sorry! I totally know what you mean! my mom and i have a pretty messed up history, so i get what you mean about not acknowledging her for mother’s day! I hope it gets better, don’t let her get under you skin! i know, easier said than done!

Sounds like she was taking some frustrations that probably had nothing to do with you out on you. I know what you mean though cause I still live with my mother. After I pay off my credit card bills I’m out this bootch! lol. Just hang in there, you’ll be out soon.
