2005 Blogathon XXXVII …regarding nerds…

Hmm Nicole came on earlier (with El Davo) … I asked her for a suggestion and after a while (first you she wall focussed on sex related topics -_- lol) came up with Nerds. I know she means the candy but I think there is probably more of a basis to the so-called ‘steroetype’.

NERDS

Some facts about nerds…

1. They don’t all wear glasses and suspenders >_< Bill Gates is not the role model nerd. He’s just well off 😛
2. Nerds will not ‘do your homework’ for you if ever you find yourself in a fix. Well, only if they like you, or like.. want to charge you some money as profit 😉
3. Nerds can relate to the fact that they excell in certain areas such as Computers, Mathematics, Science, Games etc
4. Yes, 1337 can be annoying, but not all nerds/hax use them…kinda wears its value after a while, n00b.
5.Trivia: the word ‘pwn’, meaning own (as in ‘owned’ lol) came about in a DnD game I think it was, when a programmer accidently put down ‘pwn’ instead of own. And it kinda stuck XD
6. They’re Nicole’s favourite candy 🙂
7. I think nerds are cool (ofcourse let’s not mention that I am somewhat of nerd myself lol)
8. I’d date a so-called nerd over a ‘bad boy’ ‘jock’ or ‘hunk’ anyday 😉
