A great mess.

I worked extra late today, and it’s Friday.  I stayed until 7p.  That’s late.

I’m driving home in my still really new car — cruise control is on 70, as it always is when I’m going to and from work.  The road is a lot less crowded at this time compared to when I usually leave at 5. 

I see a tractor trailer, huge 18 wheeler, up ahead and I change lanes…. and a rock hits and cracks my windshield.  My poor just 6 week old car.  Ahhh.  Monday morning will start the adventure to get it fixed.  What luck.

But nevertheless, it’s the weekend and I’m thrilled at that.  I had a great work week especially now that my secretary is back from her 3 weeks off.  I was so swamped without her.  But hard work can only go unpaid for so long and I don’t mind working hard.  While she was gone I came in early and stayed late on many occasions.  So for that I will leave early on Monday and come in late on Tuesday for the Monday night football game in Washington DC.  Redskins vs. Eagles.  I can’t wait!  We’ve been waiting for this for months.

I’m even going to make yellow and red jello shots.  Of course, I always thing of a good reason to make jello shots!  Love them!

So tonight it Mark’s first high school play-off football game.  His first season home coaching with his alma mater, they have an undefeated season finishing 10-0.  WOW!  He texted me at half time and said they’re winning 35-0.  Awesome.  Mark is awesome.

After the game we’re going to the bar for his step sister’s going away party.  I’ve only met her once, but she’s moving to London and I suppose that’s a good reason to go out for drinks.
