Babbles
Lesson: Enjoy the time and the company.
This is the first time I’ve written directly in my diary in… in who knows how long. Real long. I usually only write at work in an email to myself I save as a draft, and then copy and paste when I get home. It’s nice to unwind here instead of at my work desk where I feel like I have to watch what I write for fear I will get busted. How embarrassing would that be? For instance, at work I can’t write about how fat and lazy my boss is and how much I wish she would get off her fat ass and actually do some work for herself once. I wish she would stop telling me her disgusting stories like, "I had saussage for lunch in the caf… bet I’ll have a tudy fruity evening!" Does she think I find that funny? The image makes me want to kill myself. She tells me about her knee and disgusting foot/toe problems and I wish I could just tell her to loose a freaking million pounds and I’m sure it would improve her health tremendously. Idiot.
Anyways, I didn’t come here to talk about work today. I just wanted to talk. I had a nice weekend. My family came to visit me, believe it or not. My dad, his dreadful girlfriend and my sister and her boyfriend all came to see my "new" apartment (I’ve been here 6 months now). But it was nice to have them visit. I wanted them to stay longer, I wanted them to stay the night, but they were in a rush to get home as soon as they got here. I made spinach and artichoke dip for them since I thought they’d be a bit hungry after the 3.5 hour drive and it was just about lunch time when they got here. Dad kept saying, let’s go out to dinner, we’re all starving. Duh, that’s why I made an appetizer. But I know that’s a lot of driving for one day so I didn’t hold them any longer. We went out to eat and I took them on a little tour of my town. It was nice. I hadn’t seen my dad or sister since the summer. And my dads girlfriend is just plain dreadful. I cannot stand her. I wish he would’ve left her at home, but oh well. I just have to find other ways to shut her up. Every time I see her all she wants to talk about is me and my career/future and how I need to start my own business or move out of WV or do all this other stupid shit. It’s official that I… I don’t like her at all.
Mark had an away football game so he only got to see my family for the last few minutes they were here. (They were gone by 6:30). We spent the night at home just hanging out and enjoying each others company. We considered going out and getting drunk since it was Saturday night and we actually won, but it was cold and raining so we decided not. I was fine with that.
I had a headache last night and a pounding headache this morning. It hurt so bad I didn’t get out of bed until 11 a.m. Terrible. And it’s from COFFEE. I’m addicted. I never wanted to become addicted to coffee but I didn’t even know it was happening. I’m going to start drinking less or none at all, if I can stand it. I’ve never had a headache that bad, it hurt to turn my head. I finally drank 2 cups and felt better.
I met a good friend at my favorite Mexican resturant for lunch today. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I feel like I never have enough time when I see Molly. We could talk for hours. There’s so much to say to each other, it seems. She’s just such great company. I wish we could spend more time together, but busy lives get the best of us. We were there for nearly 2 hours talking over empty dishes. I ate guacamole… my favorite, my absolute weakness! She was the editor of the school newspaper when I was a writer last year. When we first met I knew we were going to be friends.
This is Molly and I last semester when we painted the bell on campus for the 100th year of the Society of Professional Journalist.
She’s having a spa party on Thursday and I’m really looking forward to the pampering!
Sounds like you had a good time seeing your family. 🙂 Sorry about your Dad’s dreadful girlfriend. Hopefully she didn’t ruin your weekend too badly! :/ And ‘mmm guacomole!! That makes me hungry! Guac is def. one of my weaknesses as well!!

yeah I don’t dare write any ‘blog material’ at work since by law they can pretty much look at anything u access/write while on a work computer. Sounds like you had a nice weekend though so that’s nice.
