Hijab

Random thoughts for the day:

I may have written about this before but am I the only person that tends to find a woman who follows the whole concept of Hijab (for those of you who don’t know Hijab is the Islamic practice of modesty that does not just pertain to women but also men and extends beyond dress to lifestyle) extremely attractive? It just seems like in this hyper-sexualized world that encompasses  us seeing a woman who would rather cover up then objectify herself is rare. Not to say that every woman who wants to dress in flattering or revealing clothing is attempting to only be seen as a sex object (even though that ends up being the case a lot). I am just saying the modesty is something that is attractive. Although I guess I have always been the guy that really enjoys seeing the female in my life in sweats and house slippers as much as a miniskirt and tank top. 

Also it goes to say a lot about the Islamic view of men. The reason for the coverings are not to control women or to put them down in anyway. Honestly the biggest reason behind the veil and body covering is so men, MEN, will not fail and become as ravenous dogs over a bitch in heat. It is more about the inherent weakness in men than anything else… it says a lot that we have twisted into a form of subjugation. 

I guess that is all my random thoughts for the moment. We will see what comes next… until then
