HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Hi!

Its a modified version of my annual Holiday email. Aren’t you excited??

2004 has been a fun year for me! I was able to achieve many of the goals that I had set for myself this year. Which is always good. Here’s the horrifically boring recap of my year…

This past June, I ran in the National Race for the Cure. I was able to raise some money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. I appreciate all the support that I received from everyone. It helped motivate me while I was training, and during the race too. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get myself back into running condition so that I can run another 5k next
year. But, the ultimate distance goal for 2005 is to run a 10k.

I also managed to get back to school this year. I started this past September. I’m hoping to get a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering. One semester down…far too many left to go. But starting is half the battle, right? RIGHT?

Other fun things from this year: When I wasn’t laying flat on my back in the snow because I stupidly caught a bad edge, I attempted to learn how to snowboard. It was fun! Hopefully, I can make it out again this year! Also, managed to go to 11 regular season baseball games, 2 of which were non sox games. This was enough to make me an preferred customer for this season (for a team that’s not the sox, they must not check to see who the O’s are playing). The games that I attended included MLB’s opening day (in the US) O’s vs. Sox, the last sox game of the regular season, and one game up at Fenway (which I try to do every year). In October, I suffered many nights of sleep deprivation. But IT WAS WORTH IT! I managed to hitch a ride up to Boston for the Red Sox “Rolling Rally” (despite having a test the following Wednesday) on that rainy Saturday morning. It was one of the best experiences. You can see some of the pictures I took at various points throughout the season in my ofoto album (yes, you do need an accout for that):

I also traveled a little this year (all domestic).
I’m looking forward to 2005. Lots of things to do, places to see. But, I get the sneaking suspicion that most of my time will be sucked up by school!

Anyway. I hope that you had a wonderful 2004. I hope you have/had a wonderful holiday (whichever one(s) you choose to celebrate) and have a festive (and safe) new years celebration. Hope all is well with you and yours, and may your 2005 be happy and prosperous (and perhaps educational).

Let me know what’s up with you if you’ve got some time!

Happy Holidays!

I love 10k’s and I would run them even if I was out of shape. It’s the marathons that I reallt don;t want to run…again!

Sounds like a worthy past year. Mine was interesting but I found that it could be summed up in four sentences. Therefore, less interesting than yours. Wish I could have made it to boston.
