Band rehearsal for graduation 2001
This story is about band rehearsals for graduation 2001. Before rehearsals, I went to the teacher that has “Lunch Bunch”‘s room to the end-of-year party, complete with dancing and socializing. I socialized with my friend Diane. after the party, she walked me to band rehearsal, which was on the way to her 5th hour class. I then went to get my instrument out and warm up. The orchestra was already there warming up. Then,my band teacher showed up with the Middle School’s 7th and 8th grade band. We then held group practice. Mr. Rinnie came to practice and play with us at Graduation. He played Tuba. We practiced Pomp and Circumstance, the National Anthem, Millennium, and Processional March. We then had pizza and Pop after we practiced. Then the people who needed to change into their good clothes (dresses and suits) did. I had on my good clothes already, which were a white blouse, black skirt wit white flowers, coffee colored stockings and black shoes. I then went to the restroom, but I had to wait because people were still changing. After going to the restroom. I went to get my Trumpet and went outside to wait on our buses. we had 3 buses going, 1 for the band, one for the orchestra, and one for the choir. Me and my new friend Brenda talked a little. I got fresh air. Then, after we put choir risers and stands on the truck, we got on our buses and took off as soon as we got everyone on the buses. We came up in front of the Motor City Casino, and one middle schoolers said “can we go to the Motor City?” and we all said no. When we got to the Masonic, We used the back entrance so we wouldn’t run into the graduates relatives and loved ones. I took a picture of the marquee near the back door. We put our cases in the room off the room graduation was in and set up. Me and Brenda talked before we set up. We chilled and then, we got ready to play. we were good. At graduation, the class sponsor had to tell the parents to be quiet. Weird. Well, when we got packed and on the bus, we went back to school and My mom picked me up, and I rested for 8th grade graduation, which I played at the next night. More tomorrow.
