flowers and Prom memories

I am back from classes today. I am chillin right now. I am thinking about my mom’s famous saying about formal dances “If u go to a formal dance, a girl should always have a corsage and a guy should always have a boutonniere”. My corsage for prom had 2 carnations and baby’s breath (those little white thingees that are at flower shops) with the ribbon to match the dress (ice blue). When I went to the flower shop, I saw a few guys from school there to get their dates corsages and themselves Boutonnieres. One guy got his date an orchid. I had dye-to-match shoes and a purse that I got at Davids Bridal (I had my dress made. I just had to buy my shoes and purse). My dad went crazy with the digital camera. He took a pic with the shawl and without the shawl. Mom took pics in the living room, on the front porch and by the car.I went doe to prom (going doe is like going Stag, only for females). At the prom, we got picture frames as favors, to put our pics in. later that night, Me and 2 other dudes that happened to go stag and another dude and his date (I knew the dude and his date) sat together. I took a ton of pics. my last 3 pics were of the crowning of the Prom King and Queen. I went to I didn’t get home till 12:30 because the Red Wings won a game and people were celebrating in the streets. My mom said while she was waiting for me, she saw these girls that had on what she calls goshawful dresses (2 schools Proms at the same place, same day). she said one girl needed to change. she said one girl had a nice dress on. Well, read my prom entries from 5/31/02 and 6/1/02.

Girl Power!!
