Updates!

I haven’t been here for ageeeees! It wasn’t my intention….but it really was difficult to concentrate and do anything when I was at my parent’s place.

And now at my tiny and cosy studio. Everybody say it’s ‘so ikea’ in a good sense and I’m glad for that! It’s simple and easy to clean. My brother painted two opposite walls pink and the other green and it looks really good! My mum bought me some second hand but almost new desk and library, so despite the fact that most of my stuff is still in bags that are spread all around the floor I can say that I’m settled! :)))))

I will take photos as soon as everything is nice and sorted….I’m hoping to sort things ASAP!!!!

The studio has two large windows facing the narrow and very busy street. I don’t mind at all, I’m on the first floor but still it can gets very loudly during the day. This street is very ‘African’, I mean full of african shops and stuff and I can see that here exists a very large and strong african community.

I can feel this is the best place for me , after last few years of solitary existence in that posh and too quiet flat I used to live in, I’m glad I can live among people and hear the sounds of the street. In fact here I never feel alone and I’m close to my family so it’s good!

Anyway….updating a bit my life….I can only say that everything is sort of OK…there was a guy who I started to like only to learn later that he is leaving to Italy to study to be a priest….another guy I like wants to serve God….well, I guess good for him but what about me?? 🙁 do I fall for wrong guys??? Anyway, my feelings towards him weren’t that strong so I think I will be over him once he finally leaves the place and goes wherever he is going!

Apart from that…I’ve started to look for a library/bookshop job….haven’t been very ambitious and sent only few CVs but there is a start….at least! I still don’t know what to do….stay at my part time textile job or look for something permanent….I’m self-employed now and this has many many pluses, but there are minuses too and one of them is that I don’t get paid when I’m off sick or on holidays!

I’m also having big plans for this academic year…not sure why I operate within academic year, I’m not student any more! 😉 I think I like to start something new after summer holidays. So, this month I have quite a lot to do

– start writing for this lady who wants me to write to magazine. The theme she has picked up for me is Heathrow airport…I haven’t even started to revise. She told me I have to read as much as I can about this theme and I feel very guilty that I didn’t have enough time to do that…yet. The deadline is Christmas and I need to write about 20 pages….and it has to be interesting! gosh! good thing is I have to write in polish…that might help…I think!

– start to learn italian where there is a will there is a way…so I have books etc. I just need a will 🙂

– start designing textile for work and start to built my portfolio and maybe maybe try to get a place at some art/design/fashion MA course…..maybe! I seriously have to think about this, if this is what I want to do and if I need MA or not?

– keep learning violin…although both my violins are not in use at the moment, I didn’t have time to go to the shop with them and I had a long break from playing and lessons too as my tutor was away.

gosh I’ve missed this place, when I have more time I’m going to read all my favs!!! I’ve missed you all!
