Eye Contact

I stopped off at the grocery store this afternoon to pick up some of thta foamy bathroom cleaner stuff. The girl at the register was someone I’ve seen once or twice before. I was looking at the bottle I was buying, and at the register, and at my wallet, and suddenly thought “I never really look at these people.” So I looked at her, making eye contact. It was amazing. She positively flowered. She smiled at me, and said she liked my dress. When I paid and she said thank you, I smiled back and still kept eye contact. She seemed very happy.

Amazing what something so simple, and inexpensive, can do.

OK for you but it would have me divorced or jailed.

What a great entry… we should all do this simple thing more often. 🙂 RYN ~ I hope someday you get to go to Spain. It’s an amazing country. Different, yet with enough similarities that one doesn’t feel completely culturally overwhelmed (like they would in India or Thailand for example).

RYN: If she is like me it will be a shock when she realizes she is like her father. I didn’t let that info filter in until I was about 30, lol. Thanks for your note, and yes, my Dad was a very special man, and he is deeply missed. With your permission I am adding you to my Favs. Catch you later, Alison
