A Baby?!

Ok, so, I’d be willing to bet that a few of you had a reaction to that title that went something like this:
"Oh God, please tell me that crazy girl is not pregnant again!"
🙂 No, no way. I’m not.
But we DO have a new member to the family. A tiny new member. A baby, if you will.

He’s an absolute doll! We’ve named him Dickens and he was found near a friend’s house, wandering around in traffic on a highway! I could NOT, in good conscience, leave him and just let what will happen happen. I’m a sucker like that. I brought him home and we considered keeping him, but the fact is things are a little rough around here, financially, and we can’t take the chance that the landlord (who has absolutely vetoed cats) would find out and we’d lose our home. So, we decided to let him live in the garage.
We don’t live close to a busy road and he seems very content to hang out in the back yard and garage, crapping in my flower bed and sleeping in a soft box. When we go outside, he runs up to us and loves on us. He’s the kind of cat that purrs the second you touch him. Very very loving. Maybe one day he’ll be able to be an inside kitty, but for now, this seems to work out well.
He even puts up with Piper’s man-handling of him. 🙂 She waltzes up to him, grabs handfulls of belly fur and picks him straight up screaming, "Mommy! I hold the KITTY!"
Or she runs straight up to him and screams (we’re in a scream everything stage), "Mommy! Kitty! Gimme hug, Kitty!!" and then proceeds to wrap her little arms around his littler (ha) neck and squeeze the hell out of the poor guy.

You know what his response is, everytime?
*Purr*
Yeah, this is the cat for us.
I’m very happy we’ve found him.

P.S.
We have 24 days until you-know-what!! The pastor was over last night to finish up the pre-marital thingie and go over the vows. I’m terrified by the "Speak now or forever hold your peace" part b/c I have LOTS of asshole family members who may enjoy fucking with us by "speaking now" even if it’s in jest.
Also, we think we’ve convinced him to do something VERY funny (to us anyway) right as the whole ceremony is starting.
Once we’re both standing there and the people get quiet he’ll start to speak…
Only he’s going to say…
"Mawwiage…"
HAHAHAHAHAHA. I’m excited for that!
Oh and the getting married. I’m excited for that, too, duh.

Oh, and I didn’t think “Oh God, please tell me that crazy girl is not pregnant again!” I thought “It’s the wrong time of year for that.” Like a watermelon patch. Heheh. I jest. lj. 23 is not very many days. time moves SOfast. jami.
