And, now, there’s a ring.

Yeah, a ring. That’s what there is.

Aaaaand… I have pictures!! πŸ™‚

A few weeks ago, we decided to go ahead and get rings, even though it’s going to be awhile for the actual wedding part of us getting married. So, I was browsing online, and stumbled across a wonderful invention of the technological age.

Lab Created Diamonds.

I’d never heard of such a thing. Diamonds that they could create in a lab? Wasn’t that just CZ? No, I discovered, it is not.

Basically, and this is so simple that its genius, they recreate the environment and conditions in which a diamond is created in nature… with science. Yeah! Science! Who knew science could be so… handy. πŸ™‚

These are REAL diamonds. For serious. They are considerably cheaper b/c they are more easily made and less rare, but who gives a CRAP! πŸ™‚

So, as broke as we are, I’m now sporting a 1.4 carat round cut brilliant stone on my finger. Bling Blingin, baby. πŸ™‚

And now… THE PICTURES!!

This is the catalog picture from the website. To be honest, I’m not sure I expected it to be all that impressive. I wandered around for DAYS with SERIOUS buyers remorse about it.

Here’s the standing up view with the jacket/wedding band part of it. Still stock photo.

And here’s the actual photos once I got the ring… which would be today… and I’ve been unable to stop staring at it, so taking pictures was a fall into my obsession… which I’m okay with. πŸ™‚

These seem kind of blurry, but oh well. You see how pretty it is, right? Seriously?

I’m having problems typing b/c I keep looking at it.. πŸ™‚ I’m such a junkie.

Ok, ok, I’ll quit… but I’m really stinking happy about this.
And, seriously, who knew it was so friggin’ hard to take pictures of jewelry. GAWD, I took like 15 of them before I got one that was moderately not blurry. ugh.

Anyway!

Oh yeah, one more thing. Here’s a couple of pics of the dress I’m pretty sure I’ve decided on for the actual (someday) wedding. You have to picture it colored in an Ice Blue w/ a cream colored cape that runs off the sleeves to the floor, leaving my shoulders bare. Very regal. Because I’m a princess, as are all girls. Damnit.

Ok, that’s it. But, come on, picture entries are fun. I’m just saying.

Love you all!

Okay. You might want to plug your ears… SQUEEEEEEEEEEE! That ring is freaking GORGEOUS!!! And shiny! And substantial! And, I know I said it already, but still, GORGEOUS! And I’m loving the dress! You have awesome taste, Miss Tia! ryn(s): Okay, I feel a little bad laughing at your child’s pain, but that was funny. πŸ™‚ And, it turns out that I woundup with Sliquid’s Smooth, which, from what I’ve been able to find out, is nearly identical to Coochy, but without glycerin (because apparently some women have a really sensitive balance goin’ on down there). I’m loving it. LOVING! And even though it isn’t the same, I still think of you every time I use it. And I’ve decided, once it’s time to replenish my supply, I’m going with Coochy (or, what’s likely to happen is that I will just up and decide to get the real stuff on a whim, ’cause that’s often how I am with my product acquisitioning) because that’s what I was after in the first place since it’s what you recommended, afterall. Plus, I think I need to experience the real mccoy. It’s only right, really. And, again, such a lovely ring! And you wear it so well! πŸ™‚

Wonderful ring – dazzling. I’m more of a dress man myself (hmmm should rephrase that) aaaaand…..I have an identical mole on my left hand which I feel lends itself to the ring’s “jump-out-and-grab-your-pupils-so-you-have-to-scrunch-up-your-eyes-to-stop-looking-at-it-ness” – a moleccessary Marilyn made it work for her and so do you….. :o)

RYN: We MIGHT be the same person, ‘cept that couch was in my office and is gone now. It was also horribly disgusting because my dog slept on it. Ew. So we’re probably not. Also, the option of IV pain meds is open for me – the option of an epidural isn’t. Not a single woman in my family (really – NO ONE) has ever had an epidural, and I damn sure don’t intend to be the first one!

Oh – and that dress is super stunning.

Holy Mary….. I don’t really know what to say that hasn’t already been said, but seriously, that’s an amazing ring. I have a hard time visualizing thing differently than they are presented to me as, but I am sure that the dress will be a amazing as well; it certainly looks amazing in red. so there…. congrats…. πŸ™‚ Acel

Thanks for the sweet comment. Hey, how crazy is this…my ring looks *exactly* like that…only its not a 1.5…its smaller. And I got a different wedding band. Haha..so I guess its not “*exactly*” like yours but its pretty darn close. πŸ˜‰
