exposed

had to take our computer to the dr again. got it back today and my outlook express doesn’t work and my firewall is missing. so i feel exposed.

gotta jot this down tho. dau has a crush on a guy. first time ever. i get a kick out of it. i shouldn’t. but i do. so this guy wants to get together with her and play duets. she was all excited about it and calmed herself and said to herself that she was overreacting, but she found some duet books and let him know she had them. so they finally arranged a time and played yesterday. she was in a good mood all day. she said ppl kept looking at her (guys). i asked her if she was smiling a lot. she said she had been happy all day. she didn’t say it but i know she was anticipating getting together with this guy. she was running late for when they were going to meet, but it was ok cuz he was later. another guy asked her if she had duet books and would she want to play duets… she said, um, yes, but right now i am waiting to play duets with g. so the guy rolled his eyes, gave her a bad time and then g showed up. they three talked a while. she said it was nice. they talked about their cars. she didn’t say anything about hers but she drives a sweet little sporty looking celica. it is actually our car, but she looks good in it so we let her drive it. she and g played their duets and talked. g asked about her xbf and was she still dating him. um, no, but we are friends. … …

then she had to be at something so she left. he asked her if she was going to something that evening and she said she was going to try. she did. she went and there was no where to sit where g was sitting, so she found someone else she knew and sat there. g and his buddy came over and sat by dau. they had a nice time. afterwards g asked her if she walked, as he wanted to give her a ride home. she said she drove, so he walked her to her car. i asked her what he thought of her car. she said he was impressed. they were all bragging about their wheels that afternoon and she had the sweetest ride of all of them and never said a word about it. i told her that her daddy made sure the guys would like her because she drove a cool car. lol. the guys all like her regardless of her cool car. anyway, she called me on the way to this deal and then on the way home. she emailed me today and said she was so wound up she couldn’t sleep last night.

funny thing is she saw g talking to some blond chick in the hall and she had this ! feeling. his back was to her and she was scolding herself for having any feelings about it one way or the other. she told her roommate and her roommate made it worse by saying, oh so he didn’t see that u caught him cheating on u! so dau is like, oh man! this is so bad! she has never acted like this before in her life. seriously! most girls go thru this at 12, here she is 20 and having her first crush! i find it so amusing. she will get over it. she might go out with him, but she will get over it. she is way too practical to let herself get all emotional. what a kid.
