Mortality is an issue

Well, I have been able to sleep soundly, or at a decent time for the past 2 weeks and the thought of dying has been ringing in my head.  I’m not to sure why, I guess it could be because of all this academy stuff i’m going through.  They’ve been giving us alot of scare tactics type stories in order to make us hard on the public…stories and videos of offiicers dying etc. etc….not living is a scary thought….and then tryin to comprehend what happens next is even more of an issue….wish i could get some sleep. . .

Hey! Just don’t worry too much about it. Your not going anywhere until God is ready for you! And even then, think of the Awesomeness!! Everything will be okay, Just keep on trusting God, He will bring you through all the obstacles, and help you rest easier!! Bless Ya! Laters.

Not to scare you, but yes, if you’re working the beat, death is something you should prepare for. But remember, you volunteer to put yourself in harm’s way every day. It’s not something you’re forced to do — it’s a conscious decision you’ll make every day before putting on that uniform. “Service before self” denotes the willingness to sacrifice your own life for the safety of those you protect.
