Something to think about

Romans 12:2

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is— his good, pleasing, and perfect will.

1 Timothy 4: 12-15

12. Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.

13. Until i come, give attention to the public reading of scripture, to exhortation and teaching.

14. Do not neglect the spritual gift with you, which was bestowed upon you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.

15. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.

It’s sad how many of us as Christians step in and out of our sphere of influence as we please. We draw back when the environment looks intimidating, but stand up tall on some mission trip where nobody knows us. Those verses are written in present tense..meaning that you should always have your guard up and always be persueing God’s perfect will…The Word is my strength. Thanks for sharing 🙂

John 1:1-18

January 8, 2006

RYN: That is something to think about…I shall ponder that 🙂 but also take into account that although he had 12 disciples, many others also believed…and think about all the ones who came after..like Paul…You know, the jews were looking for a powerful, political leader..not a humble servant as their messiah..1 Cor. 1:22-25…you help challenge me to read and know scripture…i need that.
