Surprise!

Just when you thought I was lost to the joys of grandma-hood… I’m back!

Grandma?  Did somebody say grandma?  Why, yes.  I AM a grandma.  Look at how much my little angel has grown….

So pretty in pink!!!

Why the absence?  So many reasons…….

Why the return?  Really just one.  Tomorrow is a milestone for me and I felt the need to commemorate it.

Tomorrow I turn 50.  There, I’ve put it in writing, so its real.

I have so many mixed emotions about this……Looking back, this is certainly NOT what I thought 50 would look like for me.  In some ways it’s better – in some ways just different.

I would like to delve deep into my soul and come up with some really inspirational and reflective stuff right about now……but reality bites – and I am just too tired.

A lot has changed at school (Everybody thank the Florida legislature) and this year is INCREDIBLY difficult and stressful.

Money is not getting any better – does it ever?

Chickie is a good mom – and learning more every day.  I – of course – am an exceptional grandmother – and learning more every day as well!  My beautiful angel Aniah is a great teacher.  However, as joyful as those lessons are, they are tiring as well.

Dogs are fine, Daddy dearest is still on great-grandpa cloud 9.  I’d like to kick my son in the butt – thoroughly.  Ah well – every rose has its thorns!

All in all – all is well.  I miss my OD time and hope to scare up enough energy soon to get back here and catch up with everyone.  I know you’re just dying to hear all MY stories!  lol

For now…. tomorrow is my birthday – and I intend to sit back and relax.

Aww. Aniah is adorable, and precious in pink ( and certainly every other color.) Happy belated Birthday! YouÂ’ll get used to being 50 just like I did. Elizabeth was born when I was 50. She was such a pleasant distraction I hardly noticed. RYN: Thanks for your reassuring note.

don’t hammers work better on studs? 🙂 *grin* My dose for froggie energy is to eliminate the evil wheat and barley grains. 🙂 Okay so barley isn’t evil for everyone, but it is for me. B vitamins and less carbs might help too? In my head you are about 42, especially since that’s the answer to life the universe and everything
