If Wolves Could Purr

As much as I was growling yesterday…I am purring today.

No, so far no one has definately been ‘convicted’ of trashing the garden.  I did spend about an hour outside this morning working on fixing the garden – and its in better shape now.

But the reason I want to purr….

After school today a group of teachers retired to the Hooters down the road for a little R & R.  We’d been there a little while when I looked up to see a young man coming toward me with a big grin on his face.

This was Carlos.  He was my student 3 years ago.  That makes him a junior now.  He works at Hooters as a bus boy.  He came and sat down with us for a few minutes – and proudly told the table

"Ms Wolf is my favorite teacher ever."

Everyone looked at me.  I laughed and said….

"Thats because I yelled at him EVERY SINGLE DAY!"

Carlos grinned.  Then he said

"You were right.  I wish you were my teacher again now."

As bad as I felt yesterday – Carlos just made it all right again.  After the kick in the arse I got yesterday, the Universe had to show me some love so that I could recharge my batteries today.

It worked.

Have I mentioned that I love my job?

Purr away. You have good reason to purr. (And so does Carlos; he had you as a teacher.)

LOL. I heard the wolf purr. Really. I did.

you know??? Maybe the vadalism of the garden will have a positive effect on many of the students involved because they were violated by the act. Vandalism maybe something that they might have done that they will not now that it happened to them. I’m glad Carlos helped improve your day.
