5/14/07 – Opps! I Forgot the Title!!!

Dadgummit!  Selfish little old me has lost one of only two days in the year that I could say were all about MEMEMEMEMEMEME!  One is, obviously, my birthday.  That one I’m keeping.  Period.  Not sharing that day.  No way, no how.  Try and make me!

The other was, up to yesterday, Mother’s Day.  I lost my mom more than 20 years ago, and my grandmother 5 years later.  Since that time….Mother’s Day has been MY holiday.  But now Chickie is pregnant…

…and I had to share my holiday!!!  Moms-to-be count, you know!  Darn, darn, darn!  Still, if I were totally honest (which isn’t always as fun as it’s made out to be!) I’d have to say she did her best to make my day nice, as I was doing my best to make her day nice!

AND in the GUESS WHAT ELSE ISN’T ALL ABOUT ME category….

Today is Daddy-dearest’s birthday.  As part of the celebration, Sis and Chickie and I too Daddy-dearest out to dinner.  Just getting there proved to be a bit of an ordeal.  We suggested Restaurant #1, which he always likes but he wanted to try restaurant #2, which he had never eaten at before.  But when it came time to go… he opted for restaurant #3.  Don’t you just love it? 

How can such a mild-mannered looking fellow be such a pain?  heh.  But a lovely dinner was – finally – had by all.  Daddy-dearest felt properly celebrated, and the rest of us felt properly stuffed!

Not that I’m counting down or anything….but there are 7.5 more student days left in the school year.  OMG – just get me through!  One of my classes has completely shut down.  They want to do NOTHING.  Now, understand, this is in MY class.  At this time of year I am totally NON-academic.  It’s all about the cooking and the (of course) eating.  And STILL they’d rather sit and goof off.  I give up!  They’ll be able to do jus what they want – I’m not wasting my energy arguing.  However – and I explained this to them – their grades will ALL suffer.  They really don’t seem to care.  THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!

In the AM I TOO EMBARASSED TO ADMIT MY ADDICTION category….

Is anyone else hooked on Dancing With the Stars?  I am in love with Apollo Anton Ono and Laila Ali!  Both!  They totally rock my dancing shoes!  She is uber sexy and he is just flat out yummy!  OK – a little young…but…. such a cutie!

Oh wait – Laila is about to dance – gotta watch!  Although, as full as my tummy is right now, just watching that much movement may overwhelm me!
