I was on my way home this afternoon when my cell phone rang. It was Sis – wanting to meet me at home. And she was going to stop at my favorite GYRO place on the way home to bring dinner. I agreed to meet her and hung up.
SO – was she trying to bribe me and make me feel better before she told me she wasn’t going to the graduation? Or maybe she was apologizing and telling me she would be there. Which would it be….which would it be?
Apology issued. Graduation attendance promised. Feelings at least partially salved. I am so glad. And I think I am going to take some sage advice from Amanda Cayhill and celebrate the heck out of Chickie’s graduation.
The PE coach at school lent me a digital camcorder and he will put my tape onto a DVD when I bring it back. I also have my camera for still shots.
There’s NO food in the fridge, but I’ve got time to stock up on everybody’s favorites!
A card. I need a card!!!!!!!!
Roses are red
Violets are blue
The world’s out there waiting…
Oh my gawd – get a clue!!!!
Well……maybe not that EXACT poem on the card…..
Still have to buy a dress and shoes for Chickie for Friday. She will wear neither ever again which virtually guarantees that I will only be able to find items that cost 3 times what they are worth.
Young Stud and Star will be here tomorrow! I am so tickled!!! THEY made arrangements to be here for Chickie without me even ASKING if they were coming! They are so COOL! And I’m going to get some time with them AND watch Chickie graduate. Life, my friends, can be so damn cool!
Good to hear! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!

Yes, it IS cool. Enjoy! Try Value City (if you have one) for Chickie’s graduation dress and shoes. They’ve got fashionable stuff at a discount….I found my wedding suit there. ryn: Make certain your gardening involves hanging out a third floor window. 🙂 Makes it ever so much more exciting!

My lottery ticket didn’t even win me a free ticket. 🙁 I won’t be there. Maybe when my books all become best-sellers! With a hopeful grin…

I’m like you. My feelings get hurt easily where loved ones are concerned. You’re not supposed to have to ask! (and I have to tell myself all the time that they don’t think like I do) Have a wunnerful party. 🙂

Yippeeeee!!! Hoppy Graduation to your wonderful daughter. I keep seeing that image of her asking what those weirdo veggies were as she searched for the rest of her sausage biscuit in her pocket while at work. 🙂 *grin* i know it’s a made up amalgam image, but i like it it. Thrilled you get your kiddos together with no force! 🙂

I’m so glad everything’s turning out so well. Have a wonderful time!

I’m glad she figured it out. Maybe you could go with my graduation gift of matching luggage: 2 brown paper bags on the front porch when I came home from school. LOL. A joke of course, but I actually did get luggage when I graduated.

Oh, I’m so relieved that your sister is coming! From your previous entry it sounds as if she too was feeling disregarded and unimportant after Chickie rejected/ignored her offer of the graduation party. I suspect that making her aware of your hurt was enough to soothe her feelings. Have a marvellous time, all of you!

Life is one of those funny little things that has the ability to want to shoot the nearest dip stick, or jump up and down and want the entire world to feel the joy you have and that moment. I try to savor both for with out the aggravation the joy would not be known. Lael
