Sniffle, Sniffle, Snarf

As is my habit (darn it all) I had an extra day off from school today for President’s Day…and so I got sick.  What’s up with THAT?!

So here I sit with a head that feels like it weighs 90 pounds.  At least 88 pounds of that is congestion (see how nice I am – I didn’t say it was big green globby BOOGERS!)

Chickie turned 18 yesterday.  It was a MAJOR pain in the nether regions.  Maybe when I feel a little better I’ll try to tackle that in an entry.

I cannot imagine going to school and facing my students tomorrow.

I cannot imagine staying home.

I need to develop a better imagination.

Imagine there’s no heaven, it’s easy if you try… oh wait…sorry. Can you imagine staying in bed and sleeping? That’s some nasty stuff you’ve got – it’s going around at an alarming rate. Take care of yourself…….

Ewwwwww, green… oh never mind. It doesn’t bear repeating! I hope you feel better very soon.

Oh poor baby…. I’m sorry you feel yucky. You need some cough sneeze ache feel better medicine. Have you tried valium? Take 2, and then tell us all about the 18th birthday. You have me wondering…. could daddy dearest perhaps be in the story?

I have another 5 and a half years before #2 Daughter turns 18. Oh, and I’ve been mulling again. With a smile…

I suggest on reaaly working on visualising yourself staying home tomorrow! *smile* A cold that awful requires at least another full day at home to recover, surely? RYN: Yes, they do grow up. (At least, some do.) Nani had her moments, the worst ones when she was about 14 and a very mixed-up, unhappy teenager. But she’s definitely improved with ageing, just like cheese and wine!

Get well, dear SW! Because I know there’s an imagination underneath all those boogers and all that phlegm, and I’m dying to read more!

Isn’t it always the way….you look forward to a day off that you don’t have to take vacation for, and then it turns to boogers. Happens to me quite often! Hope you’re feeling better, and Happy Birthday to Chickie. (Did I get her name right?) Cheer up, it gets better, it really does.

Thank goodness you didn’t combine this entry with a cooking lesson. LOL. Be nice to yourself and stay home tomorrow. You need it. You deserve it. Sending get well soon wishes.

Need a personal nurse, hon? LOL Hugz

Ugh, I have the funk too. I am stuffy and congested and miserable. I feel you! 🙂 XO

February 22, 2005

At least if they act up you can wipe boogers on them. Big, green, globby ones.

Isn’t it true once it turns green it has almost run its course? (Eeuuuu.) I hope you’ll be well soon. There’s nothing like a hundred pound head to throw you off balance. Even when sick you are still a entertaining writer.

Maybe you secretly don’t want to get sick on a work day and miss Anything. You must be pretty darn healthy to not get sick more often working where you do. That bug must’ve hit you smack in the face this time, DANG!
