And Now For Something Completely Different…

Me, busy?  Hell yeah!  Busier than a 3 legged cat in a litter box full of poo……….

Had spring break – took Chickie and a friend to DisneyWorld, Epcot, Animal Kingdon and MGM for 4 days.  What the heck was I thinking???

Young Stud will become Young Married Stud this coming Thursday, in a lovely beach ceremony in North Carolina.  Yes… the mother of the groom will be in attendance…fully decked out and prepared to enjoy herself.  Large and In-charge…as they say.  Hehe.  Ought to be interesting.  Although I think my soon to be DIL is wonderful, I have met NONE of her family yet.  At the wedding will be the first time.  heh.  ALSO – both of my ex-husbands will be in attendance – now won’t THAT be fun?  Ah well – maybe that will keep me from crying sentimentally over my baby boy.  You never let the bast*@#s see you cry, you know.

And…for today’s parting shot at our beloved president and his assinine NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND program….read on!  They have finally broken it down so even you and I can understand!

This is a very good way to explain the President’s plan of no child left behind.

No Child Left Behind

Football Version

1. All teams must make the state playoffs, and all will win the championship. If a team does not win the championship, they will be on probation until they are the champions, and coaches will be held accountable. In a recent experiment, the University of Nebraska football program modeled this theory.

2. All kids will be expected to have the same football skills at the same time and in the same conditions. No exceptions for interest in football, desire in atehletics, genetic abilities or disabilities….ALL KIDS WILL PLAY FOOTBALL AT A PROFICIENT LEVEL

3. Talented players will be asked to work out on their own without instruction, because the coaches will be using all their instructional time with the athletes that aren’t interested in football, have limited athlitic ability, and whose parents don’t like football.

4. Games will be played year round, but statistics will only be kept in 4th, 8th, and 11th grades.

5. This will create a New Age of sports where every school is expected to have the same level of talent and all teams will reach the same minimal goals. If no child gets ahead, then no child will be left behind!

Love and hugs to all of you – I’m hoping to keep my sanity (did I say KEEP?  I meant FIND) and be back here in full swing – with wedding stories, of course… soon!

Busy sounds like an understatement. Both exes AND the bride’s family in the same day?! Wow! Four days at DW sounds like a wonderful time to me, but then I spent eight days there and loved it. Of course, the getting in for free part helped. The football analogy is too accurately scary to be funny. Dubya is such an ass.

Oh my goodness…you are BRAVE! But I have no doubt whatsoever that you will pull it off. I hope it’s fun for you too. hugs…

“If no child gets ahead, then no child will be left behind!” is about as asinine as it gets. Hope son’s wewdding brings you joy and a lot of new family friends

You can’t cry in front of the X’s ABOUT the X’s, but for your baby boy’s wedding…. let the tears flow. I’m sure I will when the time comes. Have a great time, and I’m looking forward to a full report. 🙂

Congrats hun! You’ll be the bestest MIL ever!!!! Enjoy the wedding as much as you can. To heck with the X’s cry if you want to. It’s allowed for such a very special occasion. It’s so good to see your name in bold again. *warmest hugs*

Hey Sunshine – long time no hear – my fault though. I haven’t been to the site in ages. I’m sorry to read about your loss of Blossom but I’m also glad that you didn’t have to make THE decision. Keep us posted about the wedding. Hugs

Crickeys, that’s a good one too….no child left behind is such a crock. (Yeah, I can see you nodding your head and saying “Damn straight it is!”) Golly, I’ve missed you.
