Timber!!!!

As I believe I mentioned in my previous entry, I am in Florida. This is a good thing, right? Please…. everyone nod your head up-and-down in an affirming “yes” motion.

Have I found the control of my life that I was seeking?Well… Let me just give you a little illustrative tale on that subject.Wednesday before I left I had my oil changed. They checked the tire pressure and adjusted it-it was too low.Thursday I had my tires rotated and balanced at a different place. They adjusted the tire pressure to ‘manufacturer’s specs’.Firday I got to my dad’s house. On Saturday he informed me that my tire pressure was WAY too high so he had adjusted it properly.3 days…3 opinions…3 different tire pressures.MY car.Nobody asked me anything.Am I in control of my life? Right.

The car, however, is seeing benefits. After reaching a consensus of 1 (Daddy) on the tire pressure issue, Allie the Altima now also has new wipers to keep the water out of her eyes and new brakes to keep me out of the back end of other cars on the road.Hopefully Allie is happy about that.Nobody asked her either.

Chickie misses her momma something fierce.Hehe.Should be good for at least 20

minutes worth of sterling behavior from her when I next see her in about a week.I’ll take it.20 minutes of good behavior from a hormonal 15 year old girl is nothing to sneeze at!

Daddy is being oh-so-accommodating.It’s very nice.He actually cleaned me out some closet and drawer space.I got him to buy butter (margarine is YUCK) and organic eggs (at 3x the price he pays for eggs usually) without even a whimper. He takes the dog out every day in the afternoon.(Didn’t take long for HER to train HIM) and I haven’t been expected to go to a damn gun show yet.Am I being too pessimistic if I say that I am waiting with my breath half-held for the explosions?

I had to buy a new bathing suit.I forgot mine in Atlanta. It was 12 years old anyway-can anybody say Freudian slip?I still look like a beached whale-but a more stylish whale, of the purple variety.

The work thing may work out.I have not been surprised to find that my friend is as anal and controlling as I thought. Not surprised and trying to keep my frustration with it in check.I think she’ll loosen up after a bit. She’s done this by herself for 20 years. It’s hard to change. The trick will be seeing which happens first – the change or the murder.

My daughter and my hairdresser are playing battling drama queens. He’s watching the house for me.She’s not supposed to be in the house. So…of course she goes in.He gets in a snit. They both call me.I believe it would be easier to be the center ref in the World Cup final game. (Unabashed plug…GO USA!!! woo-hoo!!!!!)

We had a girls’ night out for dinner and a movie for my friend’s birthday. The waiter was a wee bit too sure of himself.I had him literally on his knees in the middle of the restaurant by the end of the meal-apologizing for all the selfish men in the world. Nice to know I still have “it”.hehe Does anyone want to ask me why I’m no longer married?lol

Some days I wonder if I am insane – other days I am SURE of it.Who am I, why am I here, what’s it all for…what do teddy bears like to eat???

That’s my life right now.Is your head spinning like a cheap imitation of Linda Blair?Mine is.So…I think I’ll try and catch up with some of YOU now. Smooches to all!!!!

Oh yes! Wonderful idea. Of course. *nodding like one of those back car window dogs* You look ravishing in purple and good luck not murdering your friend. If you do, you were here all the time and I know nothing more. With a wink and a grin…T, still U

Nodding head up and down. Yes, I can see everything is going well in florida then! LOL 🙂

Glad to hear Florida is good for you. The right tire pressure is usually given in the specs for the car. You can tell by looking when it’s on the low side. Hope you & the job click. The object is to make money for the boss. She has survived so far, which says she knows how. Most new businesses fail

good luck

RYN: Well, dearest SW, someone has to provide the warmth and tenderness that’s waiting. With a grin…

Greaat Read!!!!!! Sounds like you are doing fine to me…and aren’t we all just a little left of Linda Blair…LOL Warm Smiles……

Zounds like you haff found Paradise {:o)

June 18, 2002

=) Sounds like fun in the sun.

RYN: LOL, I was babysitting a friend’s dog. What I thought was going to be a weekend thing turned into 11 days, which would not have been so bad had the dog not been in heat! LOL

Oh, golly, my tire pressure is never right, either. I know what it’s SUPPOSED to be, but by the time I’m done putting air in and letting air out, on purpose and accidently, each tire has a different reading. Living with Dad and working for an anal friend should be VERY INTERESTING… Hope it all works out for you!

ryn — I’m on the gulf side of the state, so hurricanes often bounce around for days, changing their mind ten times before deciding where to land… Oh, the suspense!

okay! let’s get this over with first – before I read this entry. RYN: (subject: Ancient Sumerians/Ya Ya sisterhood stuff). Perhaps my man doesn’t know the language, but if he had lived back in 2000 BC, he wouldn’t invented the wheel, but he would have been the first to open up a dealership to sell them. His slogan “Be Smart. Buy from Wheel-Mart!” hee hee

oh, sorry, you knew that was me – Boop!?

ryn: I’ll give you $5 if you don’t!!! 🙂 I just made a new friend near Orlando. I forget where you are. If you are even remotely close to Orlando, I am going to tell her about you and see if you two could get together for lunch and laughter. You will love her. You forgot about the $5 ice cream cones. Dad is really behaving differently. Congrats to you for playing by your own rules. You rock,

June 18, 2002

Why did it cut off my note?!?!? It said I had used the exactly right amount. D’oh! That should say, “You rock, Baby!” Hmpf. 🙂

reyn, on pay od i’ve been updating more, i am having problems with the pc overheating. i have about fifteen minutes and then have to shut down, cuz somewhere after that the whole thing just freezes and has to be powered off cuz control alt delete won’t do anything, nor will pressing the pc button gotta turn the power surger off. NOt good. ARG!

being in florida is a good thing because you are out of the smogville for a bit. I dunno how it is down there now, but the air was better, therefore you are adding years to your life. 🙂 THis is good, because you want all that organic egg and butter to last longer, especially since that’s what WE get and we hope to be round when we are eighty to go have nan and visit your bookstore. 🙂

Happy dance with you (US) I wished for Sweden too! *HUGS* happy happy day!

hehe… i have no clue what teddy bears like to eat. maybe they exist on love? btw, at forty something, i think a majority of women hate looking for swimsuits, i know i do! lol~

Well now..you already know how I feel about Florida. Sounds like you’re making the most of it , tho. I’m pretty sure you’d make a trip to south central hell funny, tho.

Tire people say hard for endurance and mileage, car prople say soft for softer ride. Dad says, well who knows what dads say? I say go with the tire people.Daughtere, sons and hairdressers; even waitere. i dunno.
