From the Inane to the Insane

I mentioned something about not wanting to be too deep last entry – and the universe reseponded for me.

I was doing some morning chores with the TV on in the background when a story caught my attention.

Seems there was a high school with a prom. I think it may have been in LA, though I’m not positive about that since I really wasn’t paying attention at the beginning when they gave the background information.

A high school with a prom, you say. What’s so newsworthy about that? Why put it on the Today Show (with that insipid twit Katie Couric)?

Well….seems they were searching the kids on the way into the prom.

Unfortunate, you say. Unfortunate but not entirely unexpected in these often violent and frightening times.

Well, yeah. But really – wait’ll you hear what they were searching FOR!

They were only searching girls.

Yep. That ruffled my normally under control feminist dander.

And what, you ask, were they searching the girls for? Was it weapons? drugs? cigarettes? vibrators???

No. Something representing a much baser and more evil threat to our society at large and our teens in particular.

They were checking the girls for (gasp, shudder)… Oh it’s just too horrible to say….. but here goes…..

THONG panties.

Yep. You read that right. There’s a new threat to worry about. Thong panties.

The vice principal (is that the principal in charge of vice?) stopped each and every girl at the door and lifted up her dress to check for the vile undergarment. Any offender found to be wearing a thong was sent home to change.

Did you hear me? I said the VP LIFTED up each girl’s dress AT THE DOOR as they tried to gain admittance to the Prom. In front of her date…..in front of whoever else happened to be standing there.

Now before you go getting all hostile about this apparent breach of personal rights, let me tell you that there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for this. No, really. Listen up.

It seems that LAST year at the prom some immoral, vile and evil girls wore thongs under their prom dresses and (oh the horror of it all) FLASHED fellow prom-goers with their booties. The righteous embodiment of all that is good and holy here on earth (aka the VP) decided that this was NOT going to happen again this year. Instead – SHE flashed everybody. Guess that took all the fun out of it for the moral-less teenie sluts. (No mention was made of how much the VP enjoyed her task…)

There. Didn’t I tell you there was a reasonable explanation?

I’m going to refrain from commenting on the VP’s lack of functioning brain cells. I am going to refrain from commenting on the horrendous assault on a CHILD’s person. I am going to refrain from commenting on impingement of personal rights.

All I’m going to say is this: THAT SCHOOL DISTRICT BETTER BE ON THEIR KNEES THANKING THEIR LUCKY STARS THAT MY DAUGHTER WASN’T AT THAT PROM. MOMMA WOLF DON’T PUT UP WITH THAT SHIT.

Oh yeah, that’s all over the news here!I had to turn the channel to catch another news show, just to make sure I heard that correctly. Outrageous!I think I’ll toss my panties altogether…in protest. I dare any of those people to check and see what kind of drawers I’m wearin’.I wish just one of those girls delivered a hard knock to the VP’s head. Just one.

Can’t have nubile young girls wearing thongs under their dresses and undermining the moral something or other of the teen boys. Or maybe the VP just gets off at looking at young girls’ panties. It’s hard to say. Good thing *my* daughter wasn’t there as well. I’m not overly understanding when *anyone* lifts her clothes without her permission. Isn’t that assault?

Having not heard this as I don’t watch morning television, I am shocked that anyone let their daughters be humiliated in this way. Wow. If MY daughter had been at that prom, I would have been at the head of the line explaining to that bitch if she pulled up even one girl’s dress she would find herself nekkid before the hem came back down. I think this is going to the ‘Seat’ of the matter. Its truely reaching into the ‘bottom’ of the barrel. And here am I thinking thongs are something you wore on your feet. What twaddle, those in charge of thong checking need a good smack on their bums.

Oh, for crying out loud!!! Panty-peeking at the prom!!! Did they even warn the girls beforehand that they’d be “searched,” or was it a big surprise for them when they got there?

thinking (dreaming) along these lines all night and see you Ms Wolf as a 16 yr old again, wearing a beautiful long side-slit one-shoulder dress, or silky asymmetrical hemline, or backless halter dress.
