It’s Me! It’s Me!

Hi folks! How ya been?

First off, I’d like to explain my absence. Yes. Well. Ahem. I’d like to. Really. HOWEVER – the truth is that I don’t have a really good explanation. It could be A). Writer’s Block B). Too Busy C). General Malady of some sort D). Fill in your own reason – it’ll probably fit.

That being said……….I have missed you guys like crazy!

Thank you for all your birthday wishes – they were MUCH appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, Moonliteman, even the leg humping was appreciated in the spirit of birthday wishes……..

My dad is “fine”. At least, he’s as fine as can be expected given that his doctors appear to be totally unconcerned with his health and my father seems to be totally unmotivated to question them. Frustrating for me – but I try to remember that this is HIS row to hoe and his life. He gets to make the choices. Damn! I WANT TO BE IN CHARGE!!!!!

My kids are great – my son has made me very proud here lately – perhaps that will be a diary entry – and my daughter is acting ever more like a “human” as opposed to a “teenager”. I know – it’s a false sense of security, she’s not over the hump yet……but still feels good! And all my ‘adopted’ kids are wonderful too – especially since I don’t have to actually be responsible for them! 😉

Now I have a two-fold goal….. One is to catch up with all my faves. That may take me a bit since I’ve been gone SO long (has it reallly been more than a month?). Two is to get myself back in the habit of writing. However, even if I get into a writing slump, I promise not to stoop to SURVEYS (kiss-kiss Harley) just to fill in space!!!

Thanks for not forgetting me!!! You are all always in my thoughts and prayers – even when I am away from the OD. Here’s wishing you a holiday season that’s good beyond your wildest dreams! (raising my glass in a toast – actually – I’ll raise several glasses to accommodate all of you – the beer drinkers, wine drinkers, and the hard liquor drinkers!!!!!!!!!)

Glad to see you are back, read your diary for the first time yesterday, now I can’t wait for future installments!! I’m going back to start from the beginning now.

Not very good excuses for being absent. I only missed two weeks and had pneumonia. Still recuperating but writing is a reward in itself. Of course you are not near retirement but plan for it. See my last entry.
