Baptism and stuff

Brock’s baptism went really well. And he is such a cutie! With all the relatives and grandparents around over the weekend though, I only got to hold him for about two minutes before someone took him away from me… and I’m the Godmother! I should get to hold him as much as I want. 😉 AND I need practice… 😉 Seriously, just being around that small of a baby (Brock is only 3 weeks) for just the weekend and I’m completely afraid about having this baby and taking care of him/her and knowing what he/she needs. I’m sure I’ll figure it out and pick it up but it’s just scary. Ben and I both have never really spent time around small kids. Neither of us have ever changed a diaper. I’ve fed a bottle to my niece and nephew but that’s about it! Ug, it’s just all so overwhelming and I’m not even close yet. At least, I sure hope I’m not close! I was talking to some close family friends at the get together after Brock’s baptism and they had their baby at 28 weeks. She was so small that Trish said she could fit her wedding ring over Tennley’s ankle and all the way up to her knee! And I started to think about it and I’m almost 22 weeks… that’s only 6 weeks away and they had their baby then! It just all kind of scared me I guess. And it really made me want to get going on this nursery! In fact, I’m going to go file some stuff and box up some more stuff in here so we can start moving stuff down to the new computer room in the basement.

On a side note, the baby is kicking me like crazy right now. 🙂 I also found out over the weekend that the concensus is that the baby is going to be a girl. But I’m just wondering if they all think that just because Cassie had a boy so now they want a baby girl to buy things for. 😉

Oh, and on another side note, I completed and submitted the MBA today at work! Woohoo! I’ve been dreading the stupid report for three months and it was actually really easy and I did most of it on my own. Only a few questions for Aaron this month!
