Queer

Much love to my friend Steven in Brownsville who got me listening to Garbage again. The song title referenced in my entry’s title is probably one of my favorite songs from them. And not because of the name itself.

But this entry IS going to be pretty gay so it seemed fitting.

I started hanging out with someone last week, his name is Tim, he’s 31 and he lives here in Wichita. He actually went to the same high school I did, but he graduated the year I was at West before I transferred so we never actually met till I came back to Wichita earlier this month. Anyhow… WHERE the hell did this guy come from? Jesus H Christ I forgot there were good men out there. I invited him out to Blu with me a some friends last Wednesday and we’ve basically hung out almost every night since then. on Sunday we went to dinner at Gindi (decent sushi) got dessert at Orange Leaf (PHENOMENAL) and then went to see How Do You Know? (could have been better) at The Warren… wrapped up the night with a couple of drinks at Rain downtown. Since he for some reason decided to pay for dinner, I paid for dessert, the movie, and the drinks. Fair right? Anyhow, it was a fantastic date… I didnt think they could get better than Sunday.

Till tonight. We went to the Lake Afton Public Observatory tonight to see the eclipse… yeah that was even better than last night. That man can go ahead and put a ring on it right now. I forgot how much fun it is to date… considering I don’t like putting myself out there, especially after the disaster of my last big relationship. I’m going to take this one a LOT slower, especially since I still technically live in Manhattan.

Which brings me to my next point… I know I said that Wichita is not the place I feel like I will wind up at, but Manhattan has been losing it’s appeal since I left for New Mexico, I’m really beginning to think about just coming back to Wichita once my lease ends in Manhattan and just toughing it out at WSU till I graduate. It’s cheaper, I can always work at Old Chicago till I finish up… eh, we’ll see.

So with all the excitement going on in my love life, let’s talk about my family! My older sister’s water finally broke earlier, she was admitted to the hospital around 9 tonight and gave birth around 4am (an hour ago) to my nephew Damian, he weighs 9 pounds and is 21 centimeters long… and came out with bright blue eyes! Which will change I’m sure, when my niece was born she had green eyes. But we’ll see… if they dont change he’ll be the first one to not have brown eyes in our family. I blame his dad.

I’m glad I have a light work schedule this week, I dont work till Thursday so that gives me plenty of time to hang out with the new addition and finish my Christmas shopping since I just added another name to the list as of about an hour ago. I can’t wait to go to the hospital tomorrow to meet the little man!

Oh and the boyfriend and I can hang out too… can’t forget about him.

There are good ones out there? Are you sure he’s not a unicorn because I don’t even consider myself one of the good ones!

Congratulations, uncle! Poor kid, though, he’s gonna get screwed on the present distribution – the holiday babies always do. lol Not to be biased, but I suggest you look into Denver as well. Simply great city.
