Manhattan Livin

Back home now for 3 days and I can’t unpack since most of it is coming back to Wichita with me next week. My room is such a disaster and I’m so lazy right now I don’t want to clean.

Ran errands all over the place, I’m very frustrated with Bank of America right now – they have NO branches/ATM’s in Manhattan. I had to find a ride to Junction fucking City just to deposit a check. Ridic. I may hang on to that account for a bit though mainly because I’ll probably go through them for my car loan in a few months but I may open another account at UMB or Commerce in the meantime so I wont have to make that trip again. It’s annoying and extremely out of the way for anyone involved.

Met with my advisor today, he’s so freaking cool I could seriously sing songs about him lol – basically I’m under orders to take what I’m comfortable taking this upcoming semester and to retake the placement tests for my major so I can get back into the upper level classes I need to take. I’m going to take that test tomorrow and then stop by the cashiers’ office so I can set up a payment plan and also talk them down on a $140 late fee that was from before my backdated withdrawal… that’s a lot of money right there. But at least it’s not too expensive, between that and Sallie Mae I have roughly $1000 left to pay, I thought I was done, but it was only with the Department of Education. My time in Wichita is solely to work and pay this off, but if I work as much as I am wanting to I should have this paid off within the first two weeks I’m there. Sarah said she hopes she doesnt get tired of me by the time I leave, mainly because we’ll be working and living together while I’m there… but I’ll probably do my own thing outside of that, see my family and see my friends. It should be fine.

Still trying to figure out my phone, I think I have it down for the most part but I dont like having to charge my phone like twice a day like I’ve been doing. It’s annoying AND it takes forever to charge. I’m not really running many apps on it but it sitll sucks down the battery and i’ve let it run out quite a few times already just to see if it will hold a longer charge. Ugh.

I really want to see Skyline, but no one wants to go see it 🙁

I think I am going to fly back to Manhattan from New Mexico next week – the prospect of 2 12 hour road trips with my boss is not a pleasant one. I should just fly directly into Wichita but I’m not taking a giant suitcase with me down there. I’ll just deal with a 2 hour trip home next Wednesday. Wish me luck on that.
