I can tell you’re not real
Doesn’t take me long to suss out a fake profile when I am on the online dating apps
I don’t even get too excited when I match with someone because as soon as they write me, I know almost immediately that they aren’t real
I wish there was something that could be done about all the fake profiles, something in their algorithm that can prevent that from happening. How is it that someone that shows up as ‘local’ is actually half the world away?
One might say, why don’t you date the old fashioned way? Find someone to hang out with the way most people do?
Well, I am either commuting or working from 6am to 6:30pm every day, and once I get home, I rarely want to go back out
Weekends now are cycling on Saturdays, I am usually too tired from cycling to go out on Saturday and Sunday is generally church and chores
Since I don’t drink, but I love live music, I am often checking out new bands and music at the local dive bar. Unfortunately most of those folks are older, drunker and just so goofy to watch that finding someone there would be a hard pass lol
My intention for this year is definitely get out more, be more active, find other things to draw me out of my house and my sitting on the couch and knitting mode. It’s still early, but going to church every Sunday has been great and I have started to have conversations with lots of different ages, orientations, the whole rainbow of human attends there.
Makes me wonder how I managed to meet someone before online dating…most likely there was alcohol involved lol
confused on why a person would waste their time making a fake profile to date someone?
@kaliko they do it to prey on the lonely. Usually widows, it’s catfishing and it’s pretty common

The people who create these sights are suppose to delete these fake people but they don’t anymore….I think if you care careful you will find someone who you are compatible with….
