Back in the saddle

I didn’t ride last weekend, as I was just getting over that nasty cold/flu/sinus infection. But I did support the team, and that’s always fun for me anyway. I love riding my bike, but being Mama Katt is what I live to do

I was definitely not prepared to ride my bike in the 40 degree weather though!  I really need some base layers, because when I was done, even after it warming up and the sun came out, I couldn’t warm up to save my life!

I am not doing the AIDS Lifecycle this year, at least on my bike. And it’s times like Saturday, where we’re all in our kits and comparing food choices, what electrolytes to use, that I miss that community.  I am going to be doing bike parking, which I felt was the best in terms of the support roles.  There I will be able to wish them well in the morning, get them in the right frame of mind for the miles ahead and then hug them and support them after a long day in the saddle.

It’s a really long ride, but one that is definitely worth while

I know that I need to move more. I paid for a reduced rate on my iFit for my Nordic Track bike and from how sore I still am from the ride of 23 miles on Saturday, I am fully aware that keeping active will help prevent more soreness as the miles get longer

For some reason I am yet to figure out, I have no energy to move more.  More stuff to discover in my therapy appointments

For now, I intend to do my best every Saturday and get some movement in at some point
