Unexpected, but greatly welcomed one-liner

Well, I had a day off, and while I should feel rejuvinated, I feel worn out! I spent my whole day off cleaning and mowing and blah blah blah. It IS spring time, and the spring cleaning at my house was very needed. Mom and I got rid of almost everything and anything we don’t use, don’t need, and don’t want and dropped it off at the mission. Maybe some one else can get something out all that junk.

Yesterday I also knew I needed to mow the lawn, but the idea of fighting the damn lawn mower almost changed my mind. We bought it two years ago when we moved into this house, got it assembled, and took it to the yard, and put the gas in the oil, primed it. Tried to start it, nothing. Pulled the cord again, nothing. Again and again and again….Flooded….waited, tried again. I kid you not, 2 hours later, I finally got that puppy started. And  I am half way into the yard, and the front right wheel falls off! So I ghetto mow the lawn with three wheels, and when I am done I put the wheel back on…and the next time I mowed, it fell off again. SOoooo, I had some one ELSE put on the wheel, it lasted half way through the first row and fell off. So, for the next two years, I mowed with three wheels, ONCE I even got the stupid thing started. I honestly don’t understand why they can’t invent a lawn mower where you just push the button and pronto, the silly thing starts.  I would get so frustrated trying to get it started, I would scream, and yell, and kick, and throw a fit. When I would stop, it would start. Its like it KNEW it could get the best of me. For example the neighbor came over one day and helped me, started right up for him. So apparently it is me with the problem, lol. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I decide to go to Walmart’s garden section, and ‘lo and behold, they had an electric lawn mower! For 50 dollars more than I was wanting to spend on a new mower anyway ‘coz I was tired of the three wheeled mower. Defective SOB. Its Black and Decker, its sexy, and light because it doesn’t have that heavy engine, AND it has a FULL 2 year warrenty, so if it breaks, I just go get a new one! I mowed the yard yesterday with four wheel and stress free, haha. YEAH! ……now watch something go wrong with it, lol.  Now Saturday I need to tackle the weeds.

Frank has been gone a week today, and I haven’t got to talk to him at all, which sucks. I have been pretty good about it, and yesterday when I finished the lawn, I went inside to sit down, have some water and check my messages, and saw I had one new email message…I figured it was spam, but no, it was from Frank!!! He finally got access to a computer and e-mailed me ASAP. I swear, it was only one line long, but it put a smile on my face for the rest of the night. I had another one waiting for me when I woke up this morning. =) He should be back by tonight or tomorrow, so I am pretty excited. I’ve missed him a lot. When you get so, accostomed to a routine, and one particular person, and then they have to go away for a while, it really throws everything off. I am so used to talking to him, knowing whats going on, and just seeing his words ya know? Im ready for my friend to come back.

So yeah, just hearing from him put a little hop in my step =)

RYN: she probably also didn’t try to blame the teachers and play let’s make a deal the last week of school either. I have students flunking Math and can’t get the parents to talk to me but in a few weeks they will want me to come up with extra credit for the kid. All I am asking for is for them to try..call me back, email me back, come see me, care about what is going on at school…

RYN: I hope that is one thing that could never be said of me. I work with anyone willing to work with me, prolly why I have so many tutoring kids lol. (I have never had a kid flunk who tried, I’m softhearted)

LMAO, that lawn mower story reminds me of myself & the copy machine at work. It ALWAYS jams up on me, but the second someone else touches it, it works perfectly. *rolls eyes* Glad you found a better mower! Maybe one day I’ll find a copier that doesn’t make me stroke out, ha ha. =)
