10 years… WOW

I am in shock that this is still here. I have had this diary for 10 years now this month. That is absolutely incredible. I don’t regret it. I may have said and wrote some really stupid things, but what teenager didn’t have crazy thoughts running through their hormone driven heads. I had the privilege/displeasure of going through all of my old entries and seeing just what a nutcase I had been.

Honestly, I’m still a nutcase. But this time in life, I have a wonderful family behind me. I don’t know what I would do without my husband and son. My little boy is seven now. It is crazy. My husband and I will be 26 this year. This year also marks our 6 year wedding anniversary. I don’t know a lot of people that got married at 20 and are still incredibly in love, just as they were the first day that they met. That’s us.

Well, a little about how things have gone, since my last post almost 3 years ago…

My husband left the Marine Corps. One day they stopped paying him. Out of the blue. It didn’t get corrected…after 6 months of pleading and climbing the Chain of Command. No luck. We had enough, and he left with a mutual separation ending in "Other than Honorable" discharge. He had such amazing pride in his accomplishments through the Marines, it was sad to see it end without it being as he’d first hoped.

I worked here and there. I finally got into nursing school. I did it for a few months, and flew through "bootcamp." As hard as the work was supposed to be, I didn’t study, and I made all A’s. That got me thinking… During clinicals, I decided that nursing wasn’t for me. I am incredibly intelligent, and it is time to set my original dreams (Before pregnancy, baby, marriage etc :D) back into motion. I want to be a doctor. I am currently getting into my college credits and getting those done so I can apply to medical school for OU. WISH ME LUCK!

Aidan, my son, is doing amazingly in school. I truly can’t ask for a better child. He is so wonderfully intelligent. He has all "E’s" in school. (Excellent’s). He is in first grade. I get frustrated with his teacher. His school doesn’t offer a gifted and talented program. When my son asked to be given extra work, she blew him off. How often do you see a 7 year old that wants MORE work? Im doing what I can at home to further his education beyond what he learns at school

I am currently unemployed, but I have started a company with a good friend of mine. We have girls that do pin up modeling, promoting, burlesque dancing, etc. The girl I run the group with, is a professional photographer with her bachelor’s in visual arts. She’s a total hippy too. lol. Unfortunately for the past few days, things haven’t been going so well. She seems distant and, in a way, cruel. She is a controlling person, but I respect that. I am too. We work very well together, to a point. But a company can’t be all flowers and sunshine and sisterhood, there is the business side too. I am the business minded, she is the other end. It doesn’t always mesh well, but its necessary. I guess we’ll see how it all goes.

The picture of me on the diary front is sooooo outdated!! I almost didn’t recognize that girl 🙂 I am now shoulder to shoulder tattooed. I have about the same length hair, although the color of it changes weekly. As of today, it is purple and blond. I need to research this site a lot more. I need to figure out if I can add photos and so on in my entries. Im sure I can, but I haven’t looked. I was just really excited to get to type, and say HELLO!! again to the OD community. Im hoping that people are still as wonderful as they were in the past. If you have any words of wisdom about things, please share 🙂 I am happy to have help!

Aw. It’s nice to see people that got married young that are still together. Congratulations. 🙂 I noticed in your entry something about OU, as in Oklahoma University? ryn: Thanks girl. It’s nice to have some support, even if it is in the most uncanny places at times.

It’s so nice reading back on entries, just for the memories, no matter how stupid some of them are 😀 I’ve just rejoined, too, and found entries from when I was 13… :X
