I Made Love To That Turtle.

This has been a long week-and-last-part-of-last-week. I came in on my friday, which I think was everyone else’s wednesday, to find swing shift running in terror out of FOX. What could be so scary, you ask? Work, which swing shift has a deep aversion to. Nevertheless, work that I took care of in record time while everyone else, even the captain, wondered what to do.

Then I had a weekend.

My monday was frightening, and three friends on my list know why. Brown, Lester, Myself, all in FOX. Needless to say, it was a long night.

Next night, I ran Charlie building. I took care of two problems there that seriously made me wonder how I am not the captain yet. Seems RnD made the error of categorizing a Laotion man as being from Mexico. In January. And NO ONE HAD PICKED UP ON IT YET. In short, had he been deported, he would have been sent to Mexico, a place he has never seen, with a language he doesn’t speak. That speaks death to me. Anyways, I called RnD, and got it taken care of. I also moved a man out of his cell into another one after hearing complaints by him, by other detainees, and by my pod officer, that the man’s celly had been masturbating in front of him for weeks and making threats at him. My question was, how did this not get taken care of weeks ago? So, now Mr. Masturbator is all alone.

Pisses me off that people try to tell me how to do my jobwhen it is obvious that they don’t do theirs. Not only that, but they are still a CO, after ten years, and not by choice! Pisses me off. Whole damn lot of them. ‘Cept my pals, of course.

Beyond that, I am taking seven full days off next week, and spending two days, three nights in Disneyland! That means Cade gets to enjoy his first taste of the happiest place on earth. I’m going to spend at least a couple of hours just follwing him around while he does whatever he wants, within reason, of course. I can’t wait, though! He’s going to get to know Disneyland so well over the years of his life.

My wife is still as cute and wonderful as ever, and still enjoying her job at the library. We’re still looking at houses, even though we know what we want, because we’ve officially decided that if we find something equal that already has a pool built, we’re taking it. We NEED a pool, and don’t really want to wait for one to be built if we don’t absolutely have to.

Cade will learn to swim.

Speaking of Cade learning, he is making it obvious that he knows how to talk, and talk brilliantly, but he keeps so dang tight-lipped until random moments in which he’ll just bust out a huge sentence. Last night, he was looking at Shasta, and said, “Is that my daddy? Uh-uh!” Holy hell, it was surprising.

ABRUPT END!
