Late Nights Are a No-No.

Well, it seems that in my old age I don’t seem to do well if I stay up past ten PM. Seriously. All last week I was staying up rather late, and my work suffered for it. I really sucked. I’m only hitting 25% of any goals I had set for myself. This coming week is going to be excellent. I’m going to be alert, and intelligent, and not be a total jackass.

Now, for the good stuff. Shasta and I went to see Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in concert on friday night. It was in Vegas, so we had to leave here pretty early to get there in time. It was a long drive, but we talked and rocked out the whole way there. On the way, between Wikieup and Kingman, we saw a semi burn up. It melted to the point that you could guess that it wasn’t a truck. Traffic was stopped for a while, but it was alright. I got out of the car and chatted up some folks. The Hoover Dam isn’t quite as impressive as it always looked on TV. They are, however, building a HUGE overpass over the dam area. It’s ridiculous. I can’t wait till it’s finished. THAT, I will go see. The concert was excellent. I didn’t approve of the dumbasses in the crowd throwing beachballs around, but that’s their deal I guess. I also didn’t like the drunk guy next to me who continually got WAY too close to me. Faith Hill sings way better live than she does on CD. Tim, however, does not. But he was still good.It ended around eleven, and though I wanted to put Shasta to bed and then go walking around the streets of Vegas, it turns out that those beds are way too comfy to get up off of that late at night.

We left at about noon on saturday, and it was pretty much an uneventful ride home. I did buy a little porcelain(or something) chicken on the way home that will be going on my desk at work on tuesday. It’s cool.

Okay, sleepy time!
