Youngsters and Hackers

So, we had the youngsters over for the weekend. It was fun stuff. We too a long walk on saturday night, the five of us. We stopped part way through it to lay on the grass and stare at the sky. My wife loves to stand in grass in bare feet. It’s so cute.

Lately, hackers have been trying really hard to get into my computer.I’ve traced them to Sunnyvale, California. Really obnoxious.

One more week till I start my new job! I wish things had gone faster, but I’m glad it’s finally almost here.

We did laundry yesterday in the laundry room of this apartment complex, and we ran out of quarters. So, some of our stuff that was in a later batch, had to be hung to dry. They really need to put a quarter machine somewhere here, because you never really think to get quarters till you need them.

Anyways, as we were hanging our clothes up, Shasta remarked that she liked feeling like a real newlywed couple that struggles for their first while. She liked it because we don’t relly struggle at all, so it’s a novelty when we do.

We watched Alias season two on DVD till a little after ten last night. It’s not too often that we’re up past nine on a sunday night.

I had a bit of a victory yesterday. Shasta and I are waiting till I work before we get cable, as that extra bill would bring us a little closer to struggling right now. But sometimes she would comment how much she liked the quiet that we have without the TV on all the time.

Well yesterday, she remarked how much she wants cable. Woo! That’s some good news to hear, I tell ya. I’m gonna use my first paycheck to pay off a 1300 dollar debt we have, and then I’m gonna get cable with my second one. Life is most definitely treating us well.

It’s funny…I used to have a long stretch of good, and it’d make me worry more about how much bigger the next stretch of bad was gonna be. I don’t have that worry anymore.

I’m gonna go shower now. It’s 8 AM already!

well we’re not newlywed, but we’ve been living together since october and the struggling has finally reall hit us. i “enjoy” it more than he does, but at the same time it was really scary when we simply couldn’t pay rent this month. it wasn’t really our fault (long story), but we thought it was, and we were worried. so that’s when it gets notsonovelty. haha. i can’t wait to be married 🙂

Thank you.

RYN: Yes, I probably should have spoken to them about it, but at that moment I was so angry that a) I didn’t trust myself, and b) I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. It was like society broke. Plus, a lot of the time with that type of teenager, it just gets worse, not better.

I can’t imagine being able to pay off $1300 with one paycheck. I’m not sure how much that converts to in GBP, but it sounds like you earn a lot! I’m not newlywed, but I am cohabiting with my boyfriend. I wish they taught household money or something in schools. No one warns you about it until it actually happens!
