St. Patrick’s Day…! And Spaceballs!

So, I doubt I’ll be wearing any green or going out to any clubs. I doubt I will enjoy any sort of revelry at all, actually. But I make a promise to myself. Next Patty’s day, when I’ve been at Axia for a year and gathered much fundage, I will make a total mormon Patty’s day bash. That’ll be wierd. A Patty’s party with no booze.

In other news, I went to my first SCA meeting yesterday. The SCA is the Society for Creative Anachronism. It’s all medieval, and all fun. There’s all different kinds of people there, different religions, though none are discussed, as it would be out of period and generally wreck the fun. I was introduced to a lot of people, many in full metal armor. I saw a few battles, which was what I was mainly there for. I spoke to the marshall, and will be getting loaner armor and weapons for the time being.

I’m gonna learn smithing as soon as I possibly can, as I’ve wanted to learn that since I was like eight. I see so much potential for nerdy fun here. I miss nerdy fun. I had so much back in the day.

Tonight, Ron and Jody are gonna be taking Mo and Quinn to their house, and so Shasta and I decided we’d take all the older kids to ours. Give Brandon and Camille some much needed alone time. I bought Spaceballs yesterday to watch with the kids, as it is a hilarious movie and they’ve seen all the Star Wars movies.
