I’m exhausted! I’m getting too old to get away with having about an hours sleep during the night. I wish I could say this was because I was out partying all night, but sadly no. My daughter was throwing up 🙁

I collected her from school yesterday and she did mention her tummy hurt, but then she seemed ok. She had her hair cut and we walked home. Then she just snuggled on the sofa and fell asleep. As dinner time arrived she said she wasn’t hungry so I just asked her if she wanted to go to bed, and she said she did. Thought everything was ok, I went to bed about 10.30 and at 11 she cried out saying she had been sick.

So clear up began, sleeping bags bought down and me and her on the sofas for the rest of the night. Thankfully she was only bad a couple of times, but she kept calling out for water and cuddles, we watched some tv and she slept a little. Everytime I dropped off, she woke. Once everyone else had gone to work and school, we both managed to get a couple of hours sleep. She hasn’t been ill since about 4am, so hoping that’s the worst of it. She has just eaten a yoghurt and half a banana, so we will see what happens. Just really hoping the rest of us aren’t ill now. Can’t believe she picked up another bug so soon after the last one. Course, she can’t go to school tomorrow either.

It is my son’s parents evening at school today, so I said to hubby I would have to stay and look after jess, and he would have to go on his own. Now considering I have done the last 3 years of parents evenings on my own, I feel no guilt in suggesting he take time off work to go to this one. He moaned like hell, but I stressed that it wouldn’t be right to get his mum to sit with my daughter while she was ill, his parents have only just got well themselves. Anyway, this parents evening there will probably be more to talk about as my son is now doing work for his GCSE’s and hubby is always better and talking when it comes to that sort of thing.

Anyway, will leave it at that for now, love and blessings xx
