A quick visit here before bedtime! And I’m on my phone so it won’t be detailed! First off, we didn’t make it to wales. The snow has actually been pretty bad, deepest I’ve seen here for a while. Have to admit I was pretty upset we couldn’t go, but having made that decision I decided to tell my work that I would have the weekend off as planned, as last time I changed it, well lets just say it confused people! The kids were gutted not to go, mainly I think cus they know there are presents waiting for them down there!
So, first weekend off in a while, did I get a lay in? Of course not, both mornings my daughter woke crazy early, typical when all week I’ve been having to go wake her up at 7.30! The kids had all finished schoolearly on fridday due to heavy snow falling, saturday they went out and had a snowball fight, and later hubby took them out sledging (first time for my daughter!) I stayed home in the warm and enjoyed an hour or so of peace. Watched something I had recorded over christmas and hadn’t yet had chance to watch. For the first time in ages I had a nice relaxing day, didn’t even put a load of washing in!
In the evening finally got round to watching The Bourne Legacy – fell a little bit more in love with Jeremy Renner (recently discovered him after watching mission impossible – what a cutie!) And generally had a very pleasent evening 🙂 Even got round to spending some of my amazon voucher that I was given for my birthday 🙂
Sunday, it snowed more, a lot more. Hubby popped out in the morning to top up on food etc, and then our road basically got snowed in! So very glad I wasn’t down to work, as I would have had to cancel as no one in our road could get their car out! Ridiculous really, but there ya go. Monday all the schools were closed. I spent some time outside clearing the road and path outside the house, and also helped my neighbour finally get her car out. Another neighbour also helped with his actual snow shovel as opposed to me with my garden spade! Mind you, where the snow was compacted and frozen, I think my spade was more effective.
So that was my weekend, not quite what we planned, but it was lovely to just relax and chill with the family. Must admit it was great to not be constantly checking the clock.
Love and blessings xx
Glad you had a good weekend.
