kindling

‘i’m trying…i’m trying to drink away the part of the day that i cannot sleep away…’ MM

we are spastic dancing in the dead of night,
we are awake.

we are a specific guitar rhythm, and a
push-pull laughter riff,
calling all
moments out of dormant disdain
into flaming center-stage romance.

we are a rekindling.

we are an explanation.
couplet, but we don’t rhyme.
sonnet, but we have thirteen lines.
and thats ok.
