Johnny Guitar
Brittney is feeling accomplished this morning. I set up all the rides and referrals through next Tuesday so I can focus on all the other little things I have been neglecting this week. Of course, tomorrow and Thursday I work 12 hour days so I might push the rest of the scanning on to those days.
I’m kind of excited to go get my new ID after work today. This will be the lowest my weight has been on it since before Kat was born (She will be 15 in December.) without “fudging” the number. Such as small thing, but it feels pretty great.
Yesterday Brandon asked me to stay and work in the kitchen … and all I had wanted to do was go home and get in my jammies and watch a movie under the covers … but I had told him I wanted more hours to save for my trip so I said yes. The girl who was supposed to work ended up coming in, so I only got 30 minutes extra. It’s all overtime though, so I suppose every little bit helps.
About a minute after I walked through my front door there was a knock. It was Kat’s guitar. She hadn’t told us she was signing up for intro to guitar and we didn’t find out about it until a week before school started. We had no idea if we had to supply a guitar or not (We didn’t.) but I think it was a good idea for her to have one at home to practice on. Nick and her messed around with for awhile so I never did end up watching any movies.
Does anyone else check their bank account randomly hoping some magical money showed up in there? I did that last night and realized netflix had taken out 2 days early so my account was negative. Had to take 20 out of our Vegas fund, which upset Nick, but if we didn’t we’d get a 35$ fee from the bank so it made more sense to put it in last night and pay it back tomorrow when I get paid. So I rode to the bank with my mom while Nick made dinner. He made a sort of casserole out of hamburger, corn and Spanish rice but left some hamburger out for me so I’d have something to eat. When I got home from the bank he was eating it out of a giant fruit bowl. I’m like, you think you have enough there? Then he complained all night cause he was overly full. I ended up putting the hamburger in the fridge and forgoing dinner. I was just exhausted.
I hit snooze on my alarm about 1000 times today. I’m feeling pretty awake now though. Gail ordered me some Starbucks with a shot of espresso on top of the cup of coffee Nick sent me to work with.
It serves Nick right to take more then his stomachs can handle…men’s eye balls are always bigger then their stomachs….Maybe just like their ego?

He didn’t make enough food for you to eat it as well when you got home?
I can understand the excitement over the ID. It’s a well earned plus. Something to feel good about. Nothing wrong with that.
@heffay He did not. But I didn’t end up being hungry anyway.
@thelastdonut that’s weird to me. I don’t mean that in a judging way. I’m used to family dinners where we all eat together. I used to think everyone did that.
@heffay We usually do that. But sometimes, like when I work a double – I eat at work so Nick and Kat “fend for themselves” Or Nick will just make something for everyone and I will take leftovers to work the next day.
@thelastdonut that makes sense. I’m sorry for the dumb question, I hope I didn’t annoy you
@heffay It would take an awful lot to annoy me. 😉
